  1. draft tomorrow at 3:30 MST Yahoo league id 122554 password cubs
  2. http://sportsline.com/mlb/story/9246624 So is ARam out?
  3. He was scheduled to participate in a combined event and backed out so he could put more attention on his individual event. So, athletes are obligated to hurt their individual chances to try and win a team medal? Give the guy a break - all those whining about not winning that event should have performed better in their individual events.
  4. Pie's numbers at AA were a little better than Corey's, weren't they? I think the thing that I like is that he progressed while advancing - something Corey stopped doing.
  5. I thought he scored pretty optimistically - especially considering his number 1 comp.
  6. will he enter the HOF as a Cub?
  7. you have problems with that, don't you? :D
  8. do they all ski atomics?
  9. I don't think that's true though I'm not sure. I tried snowboarding once but it was too annoying to go back to being a beginner. That bowl is great if the snow and light are good. I like Palli's though that falls into quick exhaustion category. I was just going by my own experience, even on a green run on a board, I was flying and ready to catch the toe edge. Some reason, it's pure speed on a board and mine is only a 152 or something like that. Ah, but that's a different argument. I was just thinking about pointing them downhill and going. I'm thinking snowboarders tend to turn less sharply and use less edge so they go faster. That's probably true.
  10. This statement to me is the nail in the coffin for McLane and the Astros. If they don't have evidence he's done anything to aggravate his injury since the playoffs, how are they able to refute the fact they deemed him healthy enough to activate him for the playoffs? He proved in the playoffs he couldn't play? I think they will argue that they activated him to pinch hit but that his contract was to play first base. If he can't throw, he can't play 1b.
  11. I don't think that's true though I'm not sure. I tried snowboarding once but it was too annoying to go back to being a beginner. That bowl is great if the snow and light are good. I like Palli's though that falls into quick exhaustion category. I've done both (though much more snowboarding) and I have to agree with UK. that snowboards are faster? I still don't think its true though by the laws of physics.
  12. halfpipe airing now - want PBP?!? :D

  14. yea, I'll usually go cruise a blue or two after a mogul run. If you ever make it out here again, we'll have to hit birds of prey at Beaver Creek - you pretty much have no choice but to go fast on that thing.
  15. I'm with you now. Mostly I like to hit varying terrain and snow conditions and work through it. bombing powder is a blast and glade skiing is a lot of fun. on the flatter runs I go for technique. dear lord, this story about going headfirst into a treewell is terrifying.
  16. the thing about the moguls is you have to have tried to ski moguls to truly appreciate how hard what they are doing is - they make it look so easy. just watching makes my quads burn. I don't like events with judges in general. go fastest, jump farthest, leave the judges out of it. that goes for summer and winter games.
  17. You're an hour behind me, have you seen the run by Rahlves? just watched it. I feel bad for him. At least he gets to go home to a pretty wife. man, I have to go skiing now.
  18. I think I could downhill - my shoulders are too big for slalom.
  19. wow, bode really choked. his last two jumps killed him. you can't lose half a second in the last quarter.
  20. I have the perfect build for downhill - too bad my family moved from Zurich to Chicago when I was 4.
  21. the story about rahlves is crazy - not sure what he was thinking. looks like the top of the course is a lot harder today than in training - must have been a cold night. I'm just watching it now. Makes me want to take tomorrow off!
  22. wow, the downhill is just awesome. you gotta love a race determined pretty much by who has the most guts. walchofer was completely out of control.
  23. Wouldn't that limit your ability to draft everybody in sight? I think the Cardinals wouldn't be that foolish to allow him to come up in May.
