  1. two ks and the US lives to play tomorrow. get it done roger!
  2. if the gun is right, I have no idea how this guy gets people out. 89 mph fastball and 83 mph change?
  3. Oh really? (i'm aware at how bad that was :)) better than Bae - Oh! Baaaaae-Oh!
  4. I think the fact that it does feel like a Cubs game is what makes this WBC so great. you mean that we care? I bet we'd care a lot less in November.
  5. the most they can end up with is 5 . . . 6 actually, but it's not enough either way. yea, I'm dumb
  6. the most they can end up with is 5 . . .
  7. You've got me beat. This is only my 38th year of following the Cubs. :D wow, I didn't know this league had so many old people in it! Makes me feel young!
  8. korea has dominated this tournament.
  9. why is he being booed? Angel fans? apparently the korean manager remembers 2001.
  10. anyone else nervous about BYK blowing the lead? Incidentally, if you want a K hat, I can see if they have them at the game on Saturday since we know Korea will be playing.
  11. so Lee's on 2b, Lee is batting, with Lee on deck. Kim is in the hole and he is followed by Lee. And I'm not kidding.
  12. Toshiaki Imae replaces third baseman Akinori Iwamura, batting 5th for Japan. He wasn't able to score and he won't be able to continue in this game after being hobbled by the collision at home. Bottom of the 2nd - Japan Batting The game's first big play: Tomoya Satozaki swings at the first pitch and singles to right, but Japan fails to score as Iwamura is gunned out at home on a beautiful strike by Jin Young Lee to catcher Sung Cho who did an excellent job of blocking the plate. Korea, and Team USA, dodge a bullet. Sounds close!
  13. maybe korea would rather eliminate japan and face a weaker us team?
  14. What are you basing that on? Fergie put up some pretty sick numbers from 67-72. I don't have the numbers in front of me - I will post them tonight
  15. re-read what I wrote.
  16. Fergie Jenkins might beg to differ. Z is definitely an elite pitcher, however. he might, but he'd be wrong.
