  1. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2007/06/index.html
  2. Replace Jones with Murton in your post and I agree 100% with you.
  3. If Zambrano can get his act together, I think we might be able to work a deal with the Angels for Brandon Wood. Heck, they were considering trading Wood for Atkins who has had 1 decent season. Maybe Z + EPatt for Wood?
  4. If the Cubs pass on Matt Wieters it will cement them as officially the dumbest organization in all of baseball.
  5. A good amount of Sox fans hate him too.
  6. Stay away from the mexican food and it should be avoidable.
  7. So I guess they will be eating the remainder of his deal @ 2.5 mil? Nice to see a team that will admit to a mistake.
  8. Trammell should get some credit for helping develop alot of those young players that helped get Detroit to the WS last year. I'll also give him credit for not burning out the arms of Bonderman and Robertson.
  9. The stereotype of black MLB players as "militant" and "uncoachable" as inferred by Sheffield is just sad.
  10. They should have played the Lee Elia rant today instead.
  11. fair enough, I'm just not going to jump on the "Froeming is a big fat meanie" side of the argument Well he is fat. To the point where he cannot perform his job.
  12. you don't seriously think they're going to grill him on WGN, do you? You're also foolish if you think Hendry doesen't know how bad the BP is currently. Hes a VERY good GM when it comes to politics and positioning. He won't come out and say the Bullpen blows balls, because he doesent want to lower the value of any of the arms in the pen. Even though nobody is too steller at the moment, coming out and saying they stink will hinder any future trades or value of the players. Hendry is well aware the BP isn't that great atm. 1) I could careless about the trade value of Scott Eyre. He has none. And politics isn't gonna change that. I want him gone so he isn't around to cost this team games. 2) Hendry maybe be aware that the BP isn't great at the moment, but it still doesn't change the fact they he thinks simply "biding" time will fix the issues.
  13. you don't seriously think they're going to grill him on WGN, do you? Not grill...but I was hoping for a little more.
  14. Interesting interview with Hendry. Me thinks Len and Bob are avid softball players.
  15. I love D. Lee...but that would not be easy unless you were in a room full of Cubs homers.
  16. I don't think it's a big deal, he's not going to come out and say "Our bullpen really blows." He's going to say optimistic things, obviously. Actually, I'd rather hear..."Our BP has been dissapointing and we will look to make adjustments to improve that aspect" well, I'm sure he knows the BP has sucked this year He has stated publicly that his intentions are simply to cross his fingers and hope guys like Eyre turn it around.

  18. Well Jim...Jones has struggled vs. Lefties his whole career...so that isn't relevant to the discussion.
  19. I still can't believe Hendry said there are alot of good arms in the pen. Sheesh..
  20. "Alot of good arms in the Pen" lol...you are high Jim.
