I really still am amazed an organization would even consider the Failure for a front office job He really is one of the worst possible choices on the market. What philosophy does he bring to the table? He refuses to spend big money on FA's...so forget the Yankees model. He hires GM's that don't know crap about player development. Though he appears as a intellectual type of guy, he obviously gives no consideration to modern statistical methods, as evidenced again by his GM choices. I think his only strenght is being a little ass kissing turd that people seem to like around the league.

How about suspending and fining the home plate ump for not doing his job. He should have tried to cool the situation ASAP, instead stood there with his thumb up his ass talking to the catcher. -

The Dodgers are paying over 22 million combined this season for Schmidt and Juan P-Air. How this team is 9 games over is beyond me.

Those are the facts. MacPhail was Cubs GM from July 2000 to July 2002...TWO years. I just happen to pay more attention to the business side of the game because it fascinates me. That doesn't mean that I work for Tribune Company. I think the responses to my post shows why I don't have a lot of posts for the number of years that I have been a member of this community. I just seems that everytime there is bashing of old Andy around here, you show up. Regardless of how much time he served as GM, Andy Failure was a disgrace to this organization, whether as President or GM, and I find it hillarious that another organization would give him anything better than a mop job.

Why do they consider Derosa overpaid? He makes 2.75 million which is chump change in todays market. I'd say he is a bargain(as 2B at least)
