    Mike Hargrove has a chance of getting banged in the near future vs Lou!!!

    Rocky Roquet almost had 2 strikeouts and inning in Boise this summer and at times did until late August. His fb avg 93-95 and was up to 97 with an inconsistent slider, it was an all or nothing yr for him. Couple of outings really raised his era but he needs to throw more strikes and quit picking at the zone.

    It should also increase the trade activity during the season as teams who fear they will lose their FA for nothing will be willing to trade them to contenders. it could also help the future FA obtain larger extensions by their teams because they will have a lot more leverage due to lack of compensation. Not only does it look like that clubs could trade their draft picks, it looks like a good chance for every pick to be slotted in the draft!

    Thats probably true about Melhuse, people knew that Beane wanted to get more at bats for Melhuse and Macha kept playing Kendall which I could understand.

    So as I try to tell people in another post > that the new manager of the A's will Bob Geren. The Macha firing had to come, to much ego between Beane and Macha and Beanes' MO is not be blamed for anything much like the Gm of Toronto.

    Just as I stated in another post< Macha will be fired and his replacement will be Bob Geren. Macha lost his job because his ego clashed with Beane and Beane needs to place the blame somewhere because its his MO just like the Gm at Toronto.

    How ironic, everything seems to fit here when Hendry brought Wilken over here, 1st Buckley comes over, then Negron both from the Jays, then Izturis and then rumors of Vernon Wells, now Piniella who was with Rays when Wilken was there and now Mclaren who was with Jays and Rays while Wilken was there and Mclaren was manager of a Jays minor league club in 80 and Wilken was his coach, I think Hendry is leaning alot on Wilken!

    Koerber is from Michigan State University (the one that always chokes in football). He's a converted pitcher from an outfielder and had a pretty good yr in Peoria in 06. His fb I thought I read was 87-90 and his curveball is suppose to be his best pitch. I think I also read that Stan Zielinski signed him.

    Just check the intelligence of this guy, he's got some smarts and thats the kind of player the Cubs need. Check out ESPN and his comments, very quiet spoken but very intelligent and calm!

    Seriously! Or told FitzSimons, "Yo, bossman, I'm jettin on this disaster," so that we could have found a legit replacement, instead of the tool from marketing. I imagine he did tell him that...and this was what Fitzimmons came up with. Oh the Competence!! Mark Cuban, save us! Mark Cuban knows [deleted] about baseball, he's a joke and if he decides to get involved in baseball, dont let it be the Cubs, because he'll take them straight to baseball hell, plus he wont be able to run out on the field with that bad body he's got!

    To make the trade for Vernon Wells it will have to come in a 3 team deal, we dont have the type of players the Blue Jays would be interested in.

    The Blue Jays had an affiliation with the Smokies/Knoxville until 3 yrs ago and I wonder if Tim Wilken had anything to do with this?

    I think the Cubs will announce today that they have joined forces with the Tennessee Smokies of the Southern League!
