  1. From what I've read in the past, Sickles has had lots of troubles reading a Wilken run draft. He really struggled thru the years with Rios and often accused Wilken of taking big pithcers size wise.
  2. That sounds like a pretty good choice if true, certainly much better choice than Wilken which was mentioned in the paper.
  3. What if it happens to be a real good baseball guy, whats wrong with that?
  4. Thats the key word, at the start of the season, I think they ended up a little bit younger at the end, especially with their key players on that Peoria club.
  5. Why is Wilken always mentioned in everything, albeit he's probably better than Depodesta!
  6. Sounds like Aumont wants to sign and maybe he doesnt really want or need to declare a school and sometimes kids from Quebec have trouble getting all their grades to transfer to the US college systems.
  7. They also have an interview with Wilken on their radio archives at MLB.com
  8. Helen Keller has more future than diamond futures, brutal!!! Thanks for the post, hope its updated as the future warrants.
  9. Your right on Hamilton who was about 6'7 and Hendrickson.
  10. I do think the system got a little shot this season from the 06 draft class, despite losing picks 2 thru 4 and this will be seen down the line I think.
  11. Your right about Reed who played in the NBA and Conley was a backup behind Bill Russell for the Celtics, two more!!
  12. Update and Top 100 rankinngs in all of baseball. 52. Pie 60. Veal 75. Gallagher 77. Colvin 93. Patterson 100. Samardzija
  13. Top Prospect, (sorry about the spelling)
  14. Was reading this and they ranked our prospects for next yr. 1. Pie 2. Veal 3. Gallagher 4. Colvin 5. Patterson 6. Samardzia 7. Pawalek 8. Harvey 9. Rundle 10.Moore.
  15. Cuevas according to a few articles was up to 94 mph in instructional league and seemed to be pitching decent. Also taller pitcher seem to hit another gear in the later stages of their careers. Randy Johnson, Young, Hendrickson, JR Richard, Ron Reed, Gene Conley, Steve Hamilton, Bob Veale. 4 of those pitchers listed played in the NBA, can you guess them?
  16. We'll see what Wilken can do with these higher picks!!!
  17. He's a hall of famer in that Puerto Rico winter league, has had very good yrs in that league!
  18. 3 pb, jeez whats the name of Foxs' glove? Everlast!
  19. Compare Kotsay vs the 1st round he was selected in that yr!!! Then compare what Wilken did 90 thru 99 with the Blue Jays and his 1st round picks and where those picks came inside the 1st round, if memory serves me right, Wilken took alot of heat from people both inside baseball and outside with his selections of (too high) of Wells and Rios both outfielders and neither were ranked very highly I think!!!
  20. Has anyone mentioned or has any talked about getting Wilken to talk about this draft with Northsideball?
  21. I think I read this was the intent of the Cubs when they drafted Clevenger it was with the thought they would eventually try him behind the plate because of his arm strength and a left handed bat behind the plate and it looks like he can hit some!
  22. Next time the Mariners come to play the W.Sox, go ask McLaren what he thinks of New York and rank it against thee other cities he's been to.
  23. The players have become more pro active and not as much robotic to Donald Fehr and let him inject some of his bs garb which he's become famous for.
  24. How bout not having MacPhail over Hendry's shoulder also?
