  1. i dont know for sure. im using them to generate the probabilities that im posting every week. Weird I thought that UF probability was WAY too high...look what happened. This Week 90+ 3-1 80-90 6-0 70-80 4-2 60-70 0-0 50-60 0-1 Overall 90+ 21-4 84% 80-90 14-1 93% 70-80 11-6 65% 60-70 4-4 50% 50-60 4-3 57%
  2. interesting that you cling to a scoring system that, while probably statistically most complex, has little to no bearing on the actual rankings or BCS results. interesting that I also cling to the scoring system that, while not politically correct, has the most predicative power. which is what rankings should be...you rank the best teams top to bottom.
  3. This is your top ten going into the week based on the computers for the BCS 1 Alabama 2 1 1 1 1 1.00 1.00 2 Missouri 3 3 6 2 3 3.00 0.92 3 Vanderbilt 1 4 23 3 2 3.00 0.92 4 Utah 4 5 9 6 5 5.33 0.83 5 Oklahoma 5 6 2 7 6 5.67 0.81 6 Texas 8 10 5 4 4 5.67 0.81 7 Northwestern 6 2 52 8 8 7.33 0.75 8 Penn State 7 8 11 9 7 8.00 0.72 9 Boise St 12 14 12 5 11 11.67 0.57 10 Virginia Tech 9 11 14 18 10 11.67 0.57 Florida was one spot ahead of Duke.
  4. yes and no. yes it is, but the *correct* column does not. the one that goes into the BCS had this: 1. bama 2. n'western 3. mizzou 4. vandy 5. utah that's what happens when you only look at wins and losses....
  5. can't be; florida isn't #2 or #1a I asked because there's little chance TT gets dropped 4 spots after winning http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt08.htm going into this week 1. usc 2. uf 3. ou 4. ut 5. psu 6. bama im jes saying...
  6. Florida ran the ball for 265 yards on LSU. LSU gave up 276 rushing yards their first four games. Jeff Demps has 17 carries the last two games, 234 yards. He has 23 carries on the season for 309 yards. Rainey has 17 carries the last two games, 168 yards. That's 402 yards on 34 carries. That's 12 ypc.
  7. lol theyre reshowing the mccoy interview on espn saying mizzou will probably be number one when they come here next week...not no more.
  8. UT and Bama were tough. OU, Penn State and USC were tough to choose between. UF and Mizzou were tough to choose between. Top 25 after todays events 1. 6-0 Texas 2. 6-0 Alabama 3. 5-1 Oklahoma 4. 6-0 Penn State 5. 4-1 Southern Cal 6. 5-1 Florida 7. 5-1 Missouri 8. 6-0 Brigham Young 9. 5-1 Georgia 10. 6-0 Texas Tech 11. 4-1 Louisiana State 12. 6-0 Oklahoma State 13. 6-1 Ohio State 14. 7-0 Utah 15. 5-0 Boise State 16. 5-1 Kansas 17. 5-1 Virginia Tech 18. 5-1 South Florida 19. 5-1 Wake Forest 20. 5-1 North Carolina 21. 6-1 Michigan State 22. 5-1 Vanderbilt 23. 4-1 California 24. 7-0 Ball State 25. 6-1 Texas Christian
  9. florida just hung 50 on lsu
  10. demps is fast....real fast. my god floridas got a running game.
  11. it already is
  12. Why are we knocking points off Alabama because they got the week off? because on a week to week basis, I'd think Mizzout beating a 17th ranked team >>> Bama not playing. That said, Daniel just got picked so it's a moot point with that team. Alabama is a better team than Missouri if they had won. They should be ranked #1. this is why polls are stupid. there is little comprehensive evidence that Alabama is better than Mizzou. uh if you think bama is better before this week, then mizzou barely beating #17 at home isn't really going to change that.
  13. And Missouri is supposed to beat #17...especially at home.
  14. Why are we knocking points off Alabama because they got the week off? Why are we not letting UT jump them for beating #1.... I would be fine with UT jumping to #1 And why are we not letting Bama jump to #1? Sure they had a rough spot last week, but they've been outstanding most of the season. Im not saying Bama should be #1 (it really should be sc) but I am saying that theres nothing wrong with moving them up when theyre idle. lol tebow jump pass
  15. rainey runs fass
  16. Why are we knocking points off Alabama because they got the week off? Why are we not letting UT jump them for beating #1....
  17. the speed in the SEC is always a step above everyone else. I don't know what they eat down south but every team in the confederacy flies all over the field. But Penn State has done well against the SEC in bowl games, so speed isn't always enough yeah but this year penn state tries to play that brand of football. in years past, not so much.
  18. Colt McCoy's gotta be there. Bradford really didn't do anything to lower him.
  19. im not talking about depth. im talking about speed around the field depth.
  20. guys ive been saying PSU is good for weeks now. im just saying no one else in the big ten is any good. its like USC in the pac ten. if PSU slips up one week theyre completely out of it. a team with equal losses from the SEC or Big XII will pass PSU (or USC). And for the most part the SEC and Big XII teams losses are to top ten teams (UGA to Bama), (OU to UT), (Mizzou or UT to the other), (LSU to UF?) and so on. The problem is Penn State won't play any one in that class. Im not going to move a team with one loss below them just because PSU has no losses (i am talking about OU, not LSU or UF at this time). I really don't think PSU has enough athleticism to hang with the cream of the Big XII or SEC. They do have some players that matchup, but nowhere near the depth. Really, the NC should be the Big XII champion versus the SEC unless someone else goes undefeated. If PSU loses to Ohio State, you can make a legitimate case that a two loss SEC or Big XII team would deserve to get in the NC Over them. That's the problem with playing in a weak conference. You have to win out.
  21. demps runs fass
  22. Wisconsin isn't very good though. I'm not saying Penn State isn't good or anything, I'm just saying Wisconsin isn't and PSU hasn't played anyone really.
  23. You looked that up, didn't you? No. I know Chance Mock and remember the bowl game.
  24. Remember when Wash State was good? It was that long ago. Vincent Young played them when they were good.
  25. LSU gains 2 yards on the first play...giving them four offensive yards....and promptly throws a pick the next play. The #4 team is going to have FOUR offensive yards in the first quarter.
