  1. marquis sucking wasnt just one year.
  2. It is April 27th, and Carlos Zambrano has just two more strikeouts than David Aardsma and hasn't missed a start (physically, mentally he has missed them all)
  3. ramirez. kyle's a tough sign and if the correct signals are given out hell fall to our third round pick.
  4. honestly who knows if he lasts to us. i dont see him as a wilken guy. the jays, rangers and giants have gobs of picks this year, i bet he winds up with one of those teams. For the sandwich pick i want neil ramirez. | | | V
  5. hmm couldnt find it. from memory he has three decent pitches, a curve, change and fastball (87-90)
  6. he doesnt have impressive stuff. hes a lesser version of say ricky romero two years ago. i think i have a scouting report saved somewhere on him from a ba article. let me dig it up
  7. Ryu's near the bottom.
  8. http://baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=6153 free article http://baseballprospectus.com/news/images/6153_02.gif
  9. imb you are terrible. ERRORS ARE THE BEST STAT IN THE WORLD.There's NO personal bias in it whatsoever!!!
  10. Is he not? I don't think so, even if he works for BP. Hes a BA graduate, of course he's tools-driven although he's more statistical than most of BA save when Boyd does a guest column.
  11. hitting in norfolk against AAA pitching is actually harder than hitting in the majors against major league pitching, statistically speaking.
  12. Are you a big fan of the whiff without the walks or something?
  13. the cubs will be fine
  14. I don't see why not. They aren't exactly brimming with young talent coming up from the minors and there is plenty of deadwood on the 40 man already. I would do it if Prior agreed to it. and during the season hed be on the 60 day dl meaning they get an extra slot on the 40 man roster.
  15. unfortunately he has 89 pitches. if this were 1974 hed have a chance to get in the high teens.
  16. This probably could be in the Game Thread forum, but it's a very impressive feat and I love Peavy so much he always deserves his own thread. <3 Peavy 10 Ks through 4 innings. The record for consecutive Ks is 9.
  17. You should grab Rocco now. Someone will get a brain and pick him up.
  18. They should randomly get a group of five fans or so.
  19. If that happens to be the case, then I don't expect Prior to ever be what he once was. Good luck trying to come back from a major shoulder operation like that. the best return, if im not mistaken, is rocky biddle. YAY!
  20. At this point I wouldn't be shocked if Prior had a completely torn labrum, they operated on it and he's out 18-24 months.
  21. Be worried if you want, but the teams OPS+ isn't going to remain at 94.
  22. OH NOES ITLL BE 576.767,188 BY THE END OF THE YEAR~! BENCH HIM BEFORE ITS TOO LATE AAAA Hill just gave up another home run, send him to iowa to get the kinks worked out thank god we're not the phils.
