Yeah because Tim Tebow has a lot in common with all those Florida QB's, other than the fact he played at Florida. Same Coach? No. Same System? No. The argument was always the Spurrier system argument...Tebow probably has never even met Steve Spurrier off the football field. Really using that argument is incredibly logically dishonest and anyone who uses it seriously should be laughed at. That said, Tim Tebow is probably going to go in the first round if he's healthy, wins a heisman and continues to rock next year (see Alex Smith). However, how much of his passing success is because of his legs remains to be seen and he's a risky bet for a first round pick. I wouldn't take him before the second round at the earliest. His power running threat won't be much of a factor and his little fake QB draw thing won't be as potent in the NFL. Not only that he's likely to end up in a body bag if he scrambles as much as he does now in the NFL. He's probably a better FB prospect for the NFL than QB. If he was a pure FB he'd probably go in the first or second round. I know hes not in the same system. I agree with basically everything else you said thought. Honestly I think the same thing could be said for Juice minus the Heisman, and insert WR instead of FB. Except Juice runs like a 4.70.

Yes, I would say South Florida is better than Illinois. USF merely managed to lose all 3 of their games in a row to drop off the human polls' radar. Florida, USC, West Virginia and Ohio State are also better teams than Illinois. Personally, I'm just glad they are in the discussion this year. I still don't think they get blown out by whoever they play. I don't think Illinois will get killed by whoever they play. I just think there are quite a few who would kill them quite often if they played a lot of games.

Hey now, Juice passes just as well as LaDainian Tomlinson, and he's in the NFL. ;) well the question is who is a better QB if their legs were broken: Juice Williams or Darren McFadden? Answer: Darren McFadden. Yeah Juice is an NFL Stud no doubt!

In case you havent noticed U of I has some pretty good pro prospects on their team as well. you have two or three, compared to USC having 2 or 3 in their runningback stables alone. it's not comparable. don't pretend it is. Mendenhall, Vontae Davis, Benn, Wilson, Juice, Leman, Wilson, and 2-3 offensive lineman Yeah...you're not being biased. I guess you're including 5th and 6th round talents as pretty good pro prospects. Who in the world is saying Juice Williams is a "pretty good pro prospect" Just you Illinois fans? My lord. The guy can't complete a pass, he's terrible. He's no different than Reggie Ball. You definately would know about being biased in ones opinions Right, because objectivity always helps my teams...(oh wait it does not). Whether or not I'm biased or not is up to your opinion, but at the very least I can hide behind the facts that everything I say is statistically valid and I can back it up if I choose to. Meanwhile you hide behind um....more subjectivity? I think I'll come out on top every time....and I'm the homer despite being the person who readily accepts, admits and states that the 2006 Florida Gators were not the best team in the country and were extremely lucky to get the title. Yet, I'm the homer.

im pretty sure everyone says they shouldnt be there, but of the remaining one loss teams they should be one of the two in it. Ok I hadnt seen it I guess. Why should they be in over Ohio State? Ohio State has better wins than WV. And Ohio States loss is a better loss than WV. This is untrue. South Florida's better than Illinois. Who did Ohio State beat? Random Big Ten crap? The Big East >>>>>>>>>> Big Ten this year. And OSUs nonconference slate didn't make up the difference. SF is better than Illinois? Please they arent even ranked And West Virginia beat random Big East crap. WV non conference is terrible also. Read what I said: Random Big East Crap >>>>>> Random Big Ten Crap. The Big East crap you want to talk about is the second best conference in the COUNTRY with Dixon out. Meanwhile the Big Ten crap is borderline mid-major territory. And yes USF is better than Illinois.

Nah talent level man. USC would overmatch them most of the time, although SC also throws a dud out there every now and then. Still most of the time SC will outclass the Illini and beat em pretty handily. Every few games the Illini would hang in, mainly because SC fell on their face.

most college football players don't pass their finals either. the professors just pass them because they play football. So study time is irrelevant. Sad but true.

Because the SEC teams are better than them! But in reality: Location. Most of the bowl games are in the south with a lot of them being in the southeast. The closer proximity to the bowls means better traveling and more money for the bowl, so they want them.
