  2. But the trees only grow in Texas and Southern California. and the Dominican Republic.
  3. Actually they do. Ryan O'Malley, Jae-kuk Ryu and Randy Wells fall under that description.
  4. because they have four guys for two positions. Only two of {Owens, Quentin, Fields, Crede} can play
  5. ugh, it should have been obvious i wasnt being serious that it is "done" god
  6. he still counts in my definition the great american smallpark will hurt bruces eqa. left handed hitters will help minimize the eqa change due to the crawford boxes at enron for towles. towles will hit in the neighborhood of .290 with 20 HR and 15 SB if he gets 400 AB.
  7. I didn't say that wasn't going to happen. The highest NL rookie EqA will belong to Rasmus, or Maybin. or Upton. or .... but Rasmus will have tops, that's my guess. I'm pretty sure he meant higher in the ROY voting. Nope.
  8. I didn't say that wasn't going to happen. The highest NL rookie EqA will belong to Rasmus, or Maybin. or Upton. or .... but Rasmus will have tops, that's my guess.
  9. I wouldn't go that far. Daisuke was supposed to be a shoe in for 2007. Bruce will put up better numbers than Fukudome. Towles will win. It's a done deal sealed.
  10. Macias crapped out in Japan. Go Pirates...
  11. I wouldn't go that far. Daisuke was supposed to be a shoe in for 2007. This year it's all about JR Towles, unfortunately.

  13. szy said it was a mistake, should be 7 SB, 3 CS.
  14. no, but Fukudome is coming of a season where he missed half the games. The system does not know if it was from a broken wrist, ripped out heart or ineffectiveness. Lee had that happen two years. Don't read into them.
  15. vitters will be around 40. soto around 50 and colvin around 60. fukudome is probably top 40
  16. it doesnt try to project pt
  17. Pie: 2008 .269/.321/.429 - ZiPS 2008 .283/.333/.456 - Bill James 2007 .288/.342/.480 - PECOTA 2007 .257/.304/.401 - ZiPS PECOTA is usually optimistic on him. Expect something like .295/.350/.475, which wont happen of course.
  18. Hes no JR Towles.
  19. Every projection system is going to. PECOTA is usually the most negative to guys with little time in the majors. They ought to be out within a week or two. They came out the fifteenth last year, iirc.

  21. That's a real big risk to take, you might end up getting Jeromy Burnitzed. getting jeromy burnitzed in this situation is a guy with a 4.60 ERA as your #5 starter. I'll take it. We're not the Halos.
  22. Will the offense be nice? They were the worst in the AL last year. Are Swisher and Cabrera really going to make up that much of a difference? Dont forget about Carlos Quentin, and a full year of Josh Fields. Their offense should be better just by not playing Darrin Erstad so much, but they have no chance in that division. Are they sticking Quentin in center? i think the plan is to play swisher mostly in center. no ****, thanks capt'n obvious. you missed the point try not to take yourself too seriously. you still didnt answer the question? which will then make you realize my point.
  23. This really isn't going to happen, but w/e. Making up stuff is fun.
