  1. I'm praying for the Big East for all 3 schools + ISU. Worst case is a BCS eliglible Mountain West. KSU, KU, and Mizzou only add to the BCS eligibility of the MWC. I'm praying that if it's not the Big East, we pick and choose between MWC teams (UNLV, Utah, BYU, Air Force, TCU, New Mexico), Big East teams (Cincinnati, Louisville), and CUSA teams (Memphis) to form our new "BIG 12" conference. THIS BLOWS!!!! I don't blame Mizzou, but I find this whole thing comical in 2 different ways. First, Nebraska leaves for the Big 10, saying they hate the ego of Texas as a reason, but they are joining a conference with Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State. Second, Texas was at the front of the campaign for unequal revenue sharing. They also blocked the creation of a Big 12 Network. Now they leave for the Pac-10,which has equal revenue sharing and may be preparing to start its own network. Unreal.
  2. I didn't think you could pick up prospects mid year. Thought we had to wait until the draft???
  3. Tootielicious gets HBC 3rd round pick in the KROD/Cordero Trade.
  4. Tootielicious gets NSBB 1st rounder in the Morneau/Felix Trade.
  5. Yeah, it's not that it's a *bad* trade. It's just that that's the second big trade I've seen in a month where I know I would have been willing to part with more. I guess I have to be more proactive with offers but it can get frustrating seeing that. You can be proactive with me. I have Morneau, Cruz, Lind, and King Felix that I'm willing to part with if I get the right offer. Braun is even possible, but will be hard to pry away from me. There's a pretty decent offer out there right now for Morneau, but nothing is set in stone yet so feel free to offer.
  6. I see no problem with that trade since he's getting a productive player that will basically be free to keep. I see no need to have an approval process, unless trades get REALLY out of control.

    Week 7

Did you see what I did this morning? I've given up.
  8. This whole thing freaked me out at first thinking that KSU would end up getting shafted if the Big 12 falls by the wayside, however, the Kansas Board of Regents made a statement last week saying that KSU and KU will not be split up. Makes me feel better because I know KU would never end up in a non BCS conference.
  9. Wow.. I ran into a buzz saw last week. Chuck kicked my ass with only 6 starts. When you hit 19 dongs in a week, it certainly helps. Hope to change it around this week, because if I do lose more than the next couple in a row, I'll go from what I think can contend to a seller.
  10. Chuck came back to take the lead, but I have a 4-1 start advantage.
  11. Clarification, and I should know this. Can you pick up a scrap heap pitcher mid week to get your 7th start, or do you have to do so before your week begins?
  12. The Eyes of Texas (0-3) at Alamo Stealth (2-1) Mighty D-Block (1-2) at NC Cubs (0-3) Saber Metrics (3-0) at Quakers (0-3) Bazingas (1-2) at Kid Rodelo (2-1) Fuzzy Logistics (2-1) at Sock it Thome (0-3) Harrys Budcrew (2-1) at Tootielicious (2-1) Galesburg Hand Sanitizers (2-1) at Ron Washington's Dealers (2-1) Game of the Week: Northside Baseball(2-1) at Lynx (3-0) A couple other realy good matchups occur in Sanetizers vs Dealers and Budcrew vs Tootielicious. The one thing that I have going for me this week is that I'm getting 6 of my starts from my top 3 pitchers, all with favorable matchups. We'll see how it works out but should be nice to have Felix, Greinke, and Weaver getting 6 starts for me.
  13. Wondering if I just bench Kazmir and don't pitch anyone today in order to ensure that I win.
  14. I thought so too, but didn't want to step on toes.
  15. Do people have objection to me putting Lind in the lineup for tomorrow? I don't need him, just traded for him, so I replaced Reimold with him. If I need to wait til after tomorrow, I will. Thoughts?
  16. Moore has been my favorite player at KSU on D for the last 3 years. The dude started as a freshman, but did have some grade issues at that time that held him out of the lineup for a long period of time. Came out because he had a kid in December and needed to provide for his family as opposed to staying another year. Not a bad pick in rd 5, but could have gone in the top 3 rounds next year with one more year of college. Dude is a gamer, and has a nose for the football, but is still pretty raw.
  17. Is Russell no longer considered a viable PG? Frank made a quote after the year, something along the lines of "Russell will be a great 2 for us in the future". Apparently they don't like him as a one and are trying to use their last scholly this year to bring in a Juco PG with 3 to play.
  18. Very helpful, and it shows me that Raw has a good chance of going over starts this week unless he starts benching pitchers. :) you shouldn't bring this up until the week is over. Why, what's the harm in saying that he has a good chance of going over?

  20. Now being told that Pullen is not hearing great feedback from scouts, who want to see him run the point for a year. He'll be coming back. KSU looking tough next year, probably a pre-season top 5 with: PG: Pullen, Irving SG: McGruder, Nick Russell, Spradling SF: Samuels, Sutton, Southwell PF: Kelly, Judge C: Asprilla, Henriquez-Roberts
  21. The fact that there is a past thread addressing this negates what you are saying 100%. Additionally, Chuck was told when he was notified that he was over his starts that it would be Carpenter whose start didn't count, and he didn't argue with it. He did say that he'd rather start Carp over AJB, but AJB had already started pitching, which made it a moot point He couldn't pull AJB once he had already started pitching.
  22. What are you talking about? I have no idea either. I gave up my 2 best prospects (Wallace/Stanton), a potential future ace (Zimmermann) and the 3rd best SS in this trade. It makes me a contender this year, but may hurt in the future depending on how Stanton and Wallace pan out.
  23. Who may die? Zimmermann??
  24. Yeah, that seems right. It doesn't hurt to remind people, especially the new managers, of the roster requirements, however. It really sucks that Texas appears to be going with Feliz in the bullpen again. He barely lost his minor league eligibility last year, so I had to waste the roster spot on my keeper list, and now I have to waste a reserve spot on him now. You should drop him. Let me guess. You are #1 on the waiver list? :rotfl: No, that's me!
  25. I have a good enough team to win: 1. When King Felix pitches 2 times in a week. 2. If ARAM and Reyes can play a whole year healthy. 3. If at least one of my young bats produces. 4. If Bum comes up and is the pitcher he can potentially be. Those things don't happen and I'm trading guys like Braun early in the year for some major pieces for next year.
