unfortunately. i hate using that guy in any other capacity than as a blocker. He's should be a good check-down option. With this being Grossman's first start, the Titans wouldn't have seen many passes to McKie when there's good coverage downfield. I think it's an option that could consistently give the Bears a good 5 yards.

With Rex out there, McKie should expect a few passes to go his way today.

There aren't many plays that I appreciate more than a 1 on 1 open field tackle by a corner on a screen like that.

Yeah, Lloyd was a very late decision.

Bad weather can be an emotional boost for teams that are winning. I think the effect is minimal, but it seems like when a team starts falling behind, especially later in the game, bad weather makes the losing team look like they feel even less confident and optimistic about coming back.

I have very strong doubts that this is anything but a smoke screen to keep opponents guessing. He's got a high ankle sprain and is going to miss 3-4 games. What would that do? The gameplan isn't going to change much at all if Grossman plays instead of Orton and they're the same type of QB. I don't think the Bears' opponent three weeks from now is presently concerned with whether Grossman or Orton is going to play.

I know they still had some tests to run on his ankle, but I didn't think the "high ankle sprain" diagnosis was in question. Nice.
