  1. Archie Manning is trying to start a new southern stereotype with that jacket.
  2. -He's an arrogant douche -Only sees college football as a stepping stone -Instead of focusing on his own program, he tries to just tear everyone else down -His negative recruiting tactics -He employs a recruiting strategy that isn't at all fair to the kids who receive offers from them and doesn't establish relationships and then fails to develop their talent. -He's an arrogant douche -He accepted a generous gift from a donor to pay for a private bathroom at the same time Stanford was cutting athletic programs and saw nothing wrong with it. -And now the anti-gay slur
  3. That reminds me that I need to go find that autograph I got from him on a napkin while at one of those ballpit places when I was a kid so I can set fire to it.
  4. If they have a donor that will give Harbaugh two private bathrooms, he just might go. Of course, he'll want to leave in two years. He's also a douche.
  5. Sets up wonderfully to get into work late those days instead of having to take a long lunch or something like that.
  6. Nevermind: vs. England - Saturday, June 12 - 1:30 PM CT vs. Slovenia - Friday, June 18 - 9:00 AM CT vs. Algeria - Wednesday, June 22 - 9:00 AM CT
  7. Will game times be determined today?
  8. Wow. This is going to be sweet.
  9. [expletive].
  10. Did you watch it? The whole point of the video was how the media was covering it, specifically baseless speculation, questioning of the baseless speculation, questioning of how big a story it is, and then going right back to baseless speculation. There was little actual reporting going on and that was the problem.

  12. Oh, Harbaugh...
  13. The Gator Bowl can't take FSU unless all the teams ahead of them approve, but it still looks like they'll get a bowl they don't deserve in Orlando with the Champs Sports Bowl. Looks like the SEC bowls are pretty much set even though they decided against making the official announcements until Sunday: Capital One - LSU Cotton - Ole Miss Outback - Auburn CFA - Tennessee Music City - Kentucky Liberty - Arkansas Independence - Georgia Papajohns.com - South Carolina
  14. I can't believe how you guys are doing without Coble. Kudos to Carmody. It's about progression of the non-centers. Michael Thompson is stepping up and playing like he's capable of. Nash is playing like a senior. Shurna is gaining confidence and really starting to realize his ability. And even though Crawford is really struggling with the offense, the other true freshman, Marcotullio, has stepped up big time not only on offense, but also on defense and crashing the boards. The problem is that when we lost Jeff Ryan, we lost another guy who could help give Thompson a few minutes of rest every game. Baring foul trouble, Thompson is going to play 40 minutes a night and that's a cause for concern. And then there's the center position, where both true sophomores, Rowley and Mirkovic, have regressed. They're offensive liabilities out there. There's talent, but they just don't seem to be comfortable with the ball at all right now. Then again, Rowley broke his foot in August and wasn't medically cleared until a week before the season started.
  15. I really don't know what to make of this game. Both teams were really tired. NU didn't play well at all, and yet they're about to pick up a quality road win on short rest. They're going to go to 6-1 with 4 non-conference games left before Big Ten season starts: NC A&T, North Florida, Stanford, and Central Connecticut State. That's a real chance of going 10-1 heading into Big Ten play with two more non-cons later in the year (Texas-Pan American and Chicago State). It's just a shame the students won't be at those games. And the only loss, home against Butler, won't go down as a particularly bad loss despite how they played.
  16. No, since about 3 minutes left in the half. They're completely out of energy. Thompson has to play 40 a night and the offense is just sloppy.
  17. What happened? Our true freshman put up his elbow towards the defender's face when he was trying to go through him after the ball was whistled out of bounds. The elbow was right at his face but never actually connected. But fine, that's a technical. Then they review it and determine it was out on Northwestern, which nobody in their right mind would make that determination. Now they call the smallest player on the court for a foul on a rebound with their center on his back.
  18. Apparently the officials don't watch the game nor the replay.
  19. You didn't like his story how David Thompson said he was going to be a great ACC player? It was great because he actually didn't mention Duke that time. Only the ACC. And Beth Mowins doesn't bother to actually say what a whistle was for. There have been at least two occasions where a whistle was called on NU and I had no idea who the foul was on.
  20. The best part about being on ESPNU is having announcers who refuse to actually talk about the game. Hopefully Jay Williams can talk about himself some more.
  21. Auburn to the Outback is official. And it still doesn't make sense. Oh well, guess that means Chick-Fil-A for Tennessee. The Outback Bowl traditionally takes an SEC East team, so I'm not sure why they passed over Tennesee, but I'm pleased....I think Auburn may be able to hold their own against Wiscy if they is who they end up playing. The only speculation I saw is that Auburn may have guaranteed higher ticket sales. There's some interesting stuff happening in the ACC. Because Bowden is retiring, FSU will likely now go to a higher bowl game, possibly Gator or Champs.
  22. Auburn to the Outback is official.
  23. Yeah, there's nothing really to talk about in regards to Iowa and Penn State right now. Even if the BCS was in a position to release one or the other to other bowl committees right now, they wouldn't. Assuming the Big Ten gets two BCS spots, the one that doesn't get in is a virtual lock for the Capital One bowl. Since most assume there will be two spots for the Big Ten, there hasn't been any real reason to talk about which team the Capital One bowl would take if only Ohio State makes it.
  24. Weird. Apparently the Outback Bowl has decided to pass over Tennessee and take Auburn: And if they did that in the SEC, will they do the same with NU in the Big Ten?
  25. Nice going, Dunlap. Great way to hurt your draft stock, too.
