Penn State is big here. Rutgers is not. Syracuse is kind of, when they are good. But Rutgers has to be 11-0 and on the verge of a national championship to get any attention. I believe that a big part of it is being able to reinvigorate the existing NY-area Big Ten alumni base. I don't know how well that would work out for the BTN, though.

You're that desperate for one less Iowa loss each year? I'm mostly against a possible move. None of the potential schools make all that much sense to me from an academic/non-revenue sport perspective. And I'm sure that a school like Syracuse or Rutgers would just love sending their non-revenue athletes on 15 hour bus trips to Iowa City. I'd imagine that the BTN is salivating about getting into the NY market, though, and the Big Ten would like to squeeze some more money out of ESPN in their next deal.

Looks like NU vs. Auburn and Wisconsin to Champs. I can't wait. Should be a good matchup.

Rumor has it that we're going to jump Wisconsin for the Outback. I do kind of feel bad for the Champs Sports Bowl if true, though. I don't think Wisconsin is going to travel as well in another repeat trip to Orlando.

You're that confident a Nebraska win won't cost the Big Ten a 2nd BCS team? Oh, I'm sure it will screw the Big Ten, but I'll take TCU or Cincy getting a shot at the NC over my mediocre PSU team getting killed in a BCS game. That would cost Penn State quite a lot of money. It would cost the Big Ten the money....it gets split 11 ways And I don't really care about the money..... Yes, the $4 million gets spit 11 ways. Even if Penn State doesn't need that money, we sure do. And the difference between the Outback and Champs for us is an additional $200k.
