    Do OTs not factor into defensive rankings, 'cause you might've saved us from being ranked 117th in defense. Depending on the yardage, of course.

    And to think that if Northwestern didn't have the soon-to-be 117th ranked defense and a completely incompetent red zone offense coming into today, we'd be in first place. Scary... What a great game at the Rose Bowl.

    HAHAHA. We try to blow the game early and late and yet I got one more chance to storm the field. That sure made waking up at 8:00 for first row seats with a wind chill in the mid-40s worth it! 11 rushing TDs for Sutton in the season, 1 receiving. And thank you, Randy and Dunbar, for actually throwing downfield! The coaching was terrible in the first half, but way to wake up. That was awesome.

    Gone. It's been a few years since I sat there (thanks to drastic ticket price increases and the Cubs no longer selling them online), but it was always my favorite section. Both the family section and group section will be general admission bleacher seating.

Not that we'll win, but the mid 50s temperatures should make for some good football weather in Evanston this Saturday morning.     They explained before the game that its because he has a sore ________ i forgot where exactly he was sore Phew. I'm glad Neifi was able to tough it out and play today. There's a wild card at stake.

    If this Purdue loss helps the 'Cats land Loukas (a 3-star QB out of Deerfield who is making his official visit to Purdue today), I'm all for it. The great part is that his visit to Northwestern is during the homecoming night game against Michigan, which could fool him into thinking that people around here actually care about Northwestern football.

    They review the non-TD when it would have been 1st and goal at the one but not the fumble? Weird.

    It was close, but if it was in doubt I think they would have reviewed it. Purdue should've called timout there. They had a pair of looks right down the goal line with one pretty clearly showing the ball break the plane.

    That should've been six for Purdue. The ball broke the plane before he lost it.

    Basanez sure had a much better first half at ASU with a decimated receiving corps than the one Leinart had. Not so much on the defensive end, but it sure sounds like USC can't do anything right now.

    Stanton with some TERRIBLE decisions on their possession. Not that it matters after the missed FG. And Rivas nails the game-winner. Ugh.

    Wow. First MSU's kicker absolutely shanks a short-range FG from the left hash mark and now Michigan's kicker missed a gimme with :48 left in a tie game.

    Baker on the need for another top starter: Good thing he didn't ask what if Kerry had the surgery a month sooner. You wouldn't want to have a better idea of what your needs are, after all. And Baker on Rothschild: Wonder who he's talking about... And shouldn't you try to find coaches who don't have to take the blame in the first place?

    And there's another loss for Wanny. Rutgers sure showed how they blew the lead against Illinois, though.
