  1. Poor family section... Great pics, though.
  2. That picture may be from last winter, but still, I can see how his power numbers were/are on the rise. And I'm sure he had plenty of time to lift while rehabbing. Yeesh.
  3. If I see Felix, I'll let him know you didn't think he was worth the money. While doing a search, I came across an article about how the Dominican League signed a multi-year deal with ESPN Deportes last year. Courtesy of Google's page translator, I found this pic of Felix Foot: http://www.licey.com/jugadores/felixpie.jpg Showing off his guns. Looks like you can listen to their games live on their website. Anyone wanna give that a shot next time?
  4. Does anyone get ESPN Deportes? It looks like they might be showing the Licey game right now.
  5. Murton hit a 2-out, RBI single in the 6th.
  6. No. Well, yes, but the team hasn't come close to playing a good full 4 quarters since week 1 against Ohio. And MSU has? They blew a 21 point lead to ND and needed OT for the win and just this week had OSU beaten with 5 minutes left until they blew it after recovering Troy Smiths fumble. This will be a serious shootout. NU has a very good chance of winning this game. State's loss in Columbus was a huge letdown. Offensively, yeah. They've at least come closer. And they did rip Illinois, Hawaii, and Kent State new ones. We were a non-slip on a 2-point conversion away from losing to NIU (although a good team) at home and blew significant leads in the second halves of all three of our Big Ten games (Penn State, Wisconsin, and Purdue). I'd imagine the Spartans were stunned after Saturday's loss, but this is their homecoming. We'll have a chance, but despite back-to-back weeks of good offensive gameplans and actually throwing downfield, we haven't been able to sustain them. But we are relatively healthy and don't have anything to lose in this game. They threw to Sutton nearly as many times as he ran against Purdue, which wasn't much, so he should be very fresh. And if special teams can put up an adequate performance and our receivers can hang onto the ball, who knows? At least right now, though, I've got my sights set on homecoming against Michigan in two weeks. As for Ohio State, we go to the Shoe on November 12th. We're going to have to win 2 of the next 3 against MSU, Michigan, and Iowa in order for me to think we have a shot at that one, especially since they're going to have revenge on their minds for the 2004 loss in Evanston. Our best shot is if they're going to be too cocky coming off a home win against Illinois and overlook us while preparing for Michigan. But yeah, I can't start hoping for anything more than 6 or 7 wins right now... And CPatt, no OT?
  7. No. Well, yes, but the team hasn't come close to playing a good full 4 quarters since week 1 against Ohio. The good thing is that since the secondary is going to give up big plays no matter what, they've vowed to at least be more physical. They really beat the snot out of some of the Purdue receivers. Of course, Stanton is actually a good QB, so that kinda changes things. But this offense can certainly compete with anyone in the Big Ten. Then again, just about anything can happen in the Big Ten this year. We should lose this week and again at Ohio State, but I don't see any reason why this team can't beat both Michigan and Iowa at home and Illinois on the road to finish 7-4 and 5-3 in the Big Ten. Of course, we're still just as likely to finish 4-7.
  8. The ref right there was waving his arms to stop the clock the entire time, I don't know why the clock didn't stop. For a good 5-10 seconds. The clock operator messed up big time. Even the NBC commentators (who thought a punt return for -13 yards was "breaking free") were on top of it.
  9. A little surprising. I expected Minnesota and California to drop out, Louisville stay, and Michigan jump back in.
  10. But with the success in the 21st century. Surprised Wiess didn't get a flag for not getting off the field before that play.
  11. Oh my... It was obvious Leinart was going to try to sneak it, but wow. Really looked like they blew it there.
  12. Wow. The guys running the clock really scrwed that one up. That could've been a huge delay.
  13. What a day of Big Ten football. Even Indiana was within 3 in the 4th quarter. Yikes. UCLA down 21-0 early in the 2nd quarter to Washington State. Ouch. Oh wow. I do not believe that 4th down play.
  14. What exactly is Michigan thinking? Are they not paying attention to the clock?
  15. Almost did there. But that one is going to be overturned.
  16. That was an impressive fingertip catch. ND's TE gets caught from behind and coughs it up after the wide open reception. Note to NBC PBP guy: a 5-yard run is not breaking free.
  17. Michigan with hands firmly around necks right now. How do you give up a 2-point conversion on a botched snap when you have 3 blue jerseys around the holder?
  18. Bush nearly celebrates too early, but he breaks one for the score to tie it up.
  19. A lot of fields in the midwest are in terrible condition because of the drought. ND, Purdue, and Iowa's are just three off the top of my head. Surprisingly, Ryan Field's grass has held up pretty well so far this year.
  20. Yeesh. Tried to choke again but Cole makes the huge interception to save the game. 34-29 the final and our bowl hopes are still alive...
  21. COLE WITH THE PICK!!! NU WINS!!!
  22. And for the 3rd game in a row, we're trying our darnedest to give this thing away.
  23. I miss the first half...
  24. Special teams has let Purdue right back into this ballgame.
  25. After the Washington and Cal game, I don't think fumbles are allowed near the endzone. Maybe it's just something that you have to call against UCLA. You still remember that play? This one was mucher closer than that one, though. And the offense has died. This is not good.
