  1. I DON'T BELIEVE IT!!! 3RD INT AND THE 2ND RETURNED FOR A TD!!! 22-0!!!
  2. Philmore!!! I hate you, Howells... Keep it up, defense!
  3. Welcome back, Heinz!!!
  4. Way to go, Mims! But seriously, Howells. Learn to kick PATs so they don't cross the line 7 feet off the ground. You've been doing that all year...
  5. Yeah, it was a 2-run homer. Alou's RBI single in the 6th made it a 3-1 game. I remember listening to Z's HR in my car like it was yesterday. What an awesome moment. Hanging 2-out, 0-2 curve that Z crushed to right.
  6. If he pitches the ball to Breaston, they probably win the game. I think I can still hear the laughter coming from Iowa.
  7. As they just pointed out, Michigan players were on the field, as well. Since there were Michigan players that were involved in that play who just stopped, I wonder if a whistle came in somewhere.
  8. Things have a way of evening out... That was an awesome ending.
  9. We do? Even Vedran has had about four bad games in a row. Carmody said he was going to try to focus on the inside game since they can't hit a three to save their lives, but that didn't work out all that well last game, either. And considering that there's no inside/rebounding presence, unless something changes, 9th is optimistic.
  10. The Bulls are about to drop another one to the Bobcats.
  11. Walker is NOT gone and there is no deal where he is rumored in recently. Therefore Walker is still a Cub and still can be considered a top 5 offensive 2B. As far as the CF comment how many CF are better then Pierre? I think you need to read the Walker thread in the Baseball discusion. Walker is nowhere near a top 5 offensive 2B in the NL let alone baseball. Walker was at best an average to slightly below average offensive 2b in 2005 and most agree below average defensively. Below average offensively on what standard? He ranked 3rd in OPS and 2nd in BA amongst NL second basemen with at least 300 ABs. He was also just .001 away from being tied for 7th in OBP. And at the rate he was producing at, he would've been at or near the top in both doubles and HRs if he played a full season.
  12. And somewhat fittingly, BSU blows it at the very end. 1st and goal at the 5 with a minute left and it goes sack, spike (unbelievably bad idea when he had :44 left), and interception in the endzone.
  13. BC is doing their best job of choking this thing away.
  14. BSU's streak on the blue field is a little over a quarter away from ending. BC is destroying them 27-0. And now it's hailing.
  15. Just glancing over his stats, one of the only things he did differently last year was he cut his walks by nearly 40%. Hits and HRs were right around his career average as a starter, although SLG% and fly balls were a bit down, as well. His .270 BABIP in 2005 was also right around his career average, so I guess it just comes down to turning a lot more of his walks into outs on balls in play. No idea what the odds are of him being able to repeat his control, but my current impression of the contract is that it's kinda down the middle for KW. I wouldn't call it a good extension, but not a bad one, either. By the way, how many years until Beuhrle is a free agent and signs with the Cardinals?
  16. Considering that ticketmaster fees will tack on at least another $10, if you're lucky enough to get them, you'll be paying $100 a ticket at the minimum. Plus there aren't very many tickets in the $85 range.
  17. Not sure why they're not showing up on the board. Just copy and paste the urls into the address bar to see them.
  18. Depressing, too.
  19. Jones didn't earn that spot like Neifi did. Plus, Jones isn't as talented when it comes to fouling off breaking balls outside of the strike zone while a runner is trying to steal second.
  20. I was going to vote yes since I've been sick of them since January of '96, but because Raisin isn't around, I'll vote no.
  21. Add another yes.
  22. :( I went too early (and it was like 2pm), I only got a hat, the guy said he was going to pick the shirts up later.... Makes me wish I was in the city right now. If you wait longer, though, other companies will put out division champ t-shirts with probably better designs. The best 2001 division champ t-shirt I saw was sold at Osco. Tobias- Nope. The Bears' position is settled and the Vikings have already been eliminated.
  23. The best thing about tonight's game was the last sentence in the notes of the AP article:
