  1. Ben didn't get that off. ARGH. And Big Z is still sad. Tough loss.
  2. And Big Z is sad :( But it's still a 2-point game with :02.5 left and Bulls ball.
  3. Big Z pumped for the finish of this game!
  4. Tired, sure. But he dropped his arm and completely exposed himself. Talk about a no-no. Actually, he only slowed down once he got to the 5-yard line. He was still going pretty strong before that.
  5. I don't think there is indisputable evidence there though I do think it should be a touchback. Yeah. That's a huge bullet dodged, but it should have been a touchback. Bah. Bailey was a good camera angle from being a laughing stock.
  6. That looks like a touchback!
  7. Hahahahaha. Nearly a 101-yard pick 6 and yet he lets up at the end and takes an absolute shot. Not only that, but this could be reviewed as a possible touchback.
  8. Everyone on the Panthers' injury report practice Friday and are listed as probable.
  9. Haha. Only a matter of time until he gets a marketing deal.
  10. I'd imagine he does. Of course, there's a difference between giving in a signing Neifi to a one-year deal and taking the initiative to sign him to a two-year deal. Maybe this will clear up what Dusty said:
  11. It's grown into a great rivalry. I believe the two teams will be playing each other on rivaly weekend in 2009 and 2010 since Illinois is off those weeks. Weird start to the Big Ten season. Northwestern lays an egg against Penn State (okay, that's not really weird) after getting an actual road win in Minnesota (that is), Iowa barely escapes Penn State today, and Illinois barely beats Michigan at home, a team coming off a near loss to Purdue.
  12. Bold statement, care to elaborate? It's basically that Hendry is in a position of more power and considering the fact that he and Dusty have been together for three years already, he should know exactly what Dusty's weaknesses are and how to counteract them. Or rather, he would if he didn't have the same weaknesses himself. I refuse to believe that Hendry just fails to control him anymore. That just can't be the case. Maybe Dusty brainwashed him, but he and Hendry are on the same page...and that really scares me. I've said it before, but I think both Hendry's use of Cedeno and Hill last season and the two-year deals that Perez and Rusch received support my feelings. Promotions/demotions and contracts are all on Hendry, not Dusty. Whether it be not giving young players a chance to prove themselves vs. mediocre (at best) veterans, a deemphasis on team OBP, or even the managerial position, it all goes right back to Jim. And he can't be portrayed as a bystander anymore (not that he has in this thread).
  13. I'm not about to mitigate anyone's responsibility with respect to this situation. Baker brought him in games and chose to pitch him back to back on occassions, Rothschild never protected his pitcher, Hendry signed off, and MacPhail, at least, gave tacit approval through his constent support of his GM in the face of complete and utter stupidity. To hell with all of them. Baker is going to use him if he's available. It wasn't his responsibility to shut down Wood. That falls on management and Rothschild, especially since it was such a no-brainer. There's plenty of things to blame Dusty for, but I don't think this is one of them. Sure he misused him, but only because other people allowed that to happen. Jon...he is the manager. Baker is ultimately responsible for the usage of every man on his roster. On his roster. That's the point. He never should have been on the roster. Hendry should have shut him down and Rothschild should have supported that. Leaving Dusty in charge of the situation is getting more and more like two parents leaving an 8-year-old in charge of their younger siblings. If the parents can't figure out that an 8-year-old isn't competent enough to be in charge of others, they shouldn't be parents any more. You could blame Dusty, but it's time the higher-ups take much more of the brunt of responsibility. I'm at the point where I blame Hendry for everything Dusty does wrong.
  14. And "runs" out of the pocket at the first sign of any kind of danger. Didn't know when to get rid of the ball, either.

  16. You've got to be kidding me.
  17. Dear Ray Brown, Blockers are supposed to...you know...try to block. Sincerely, me
  18. The Bears are handing them out tomorrow :( Not again. They didn't work in 2001 (still have mine, too). Haw haw!
  19. Still alive thanks to a little luck.
  20. They are, but it should be emphasized that Baker doesn't deserve that much blame for it. This is mostly on the front office and Rothschild.
  21. Talk about confusion on that TD... Bah.
  22. Anyone else hate "rally towels?" Why would a team sacrifice crowd noise for people twirling around cloth? Doesn't make any sense.
  23. 14 points swing. That was a completely different defense.
  24. CATCH THE BALL, ROGERS. ARGH.
  25. It is. We've already seen him fail.
