  5. Now he's got a reply whenever Roger bugs him about the stolen Hummer.
  6. Welcome to the board. You should enjoy the bleachers. They'll give you a great view, as well. You might want to plan on getting there early, possibly two hours in advance when gates open or before, to get good seats since they're general admission. Since it's a Friday afternoon game, though, the lines won't be as long as a Saturday or Sunday game. You'd also be able to watch the Cubs finish up batting practice before the Tigers take their turn. As for 406, here's the view: http://www.seatdata.com/images/mlb_cubs/170x128/406.jpg I've sat in 406 before. You're obviously down the line, but because the upper deck is so close to the field, they're not bad seats. The 400 section, the first 10 rows of the upper deck, are all completely unobstructed. And in case it rains, the overhang should keep you dry.
  7. The Cubs sold over 600,000 tickets on Friday, breaking their own major league record. Of course, with a seating capacity over 1,600 higher than last year, not breaking it would have been a disappointment. Registration for the dugout, bullpen, and bleacher boxes is March 9th and they go on sale March 13th.

Holy cow. Look at those forearms.
  13. I believe there will be just over 6,000 fewer seats in the new Busch when it's all done. But for the first half of the season, there are going to be an additional 6,000 seats that will not be finished. That leaves a capacity of just under 38,000 seats for the first half of the season, so I'd imagine it's going to be harder to find tickets on game day than it was before.
  14. Wow. I have no idea what they were trying to do in that posession. And the Sixers have shot 31 more FTs than the Bulls so far.
  15. Yuck. They're finding new ways not to score and now they're down by 9.
  16. This could be bad or good. Nah.....that's too negative even for me  I think Jon meant it in a positive way. Yeah. I believe I read the other day that Rothschild was impressed with how well Miller has been doing. He said that he could probably throw off the mound right now but they're going to stick with the conservative plan. Probably a bit of an exaggeration, but as of right now, it's looking rather optimistic for the pitching staff.
  17. He threw again today. What's even better is that it looks like Miller isn't too far behind Wood.
  18. Looks like payroll has increased 712% since 1985.
  19. Stinkfest. Probably more fouls and turnovers than baskets.
  20. And they're playing like poop. Penn State's 13 of 15 free throws made to NU's 0 of 2 is the main difference. The 9 first half turnovers don't help, either.
  21. It is fairly incredible that they beat both Iowa and Wisconsin in football and basketball this year. I don't see that happening again for a while. It seems like Basanez and Vukusic have each been there for 7 years. I just hate playing at Northwestern in both sports. Weird atmospheres at both venues with not much fan support (I think Wisconsin had more fans tonight) in small arenas and stadiums. And in both sports they play systems that Big Ten teams don't see much of. That said I'm glad they pulled that one out tonight. Now if they can just beat Ohio State at home next week... On both sides of the ball for the basketball team, too. Their ever-changing defense has worked out pretty well this year. NU jumps out to a 2-0 lead over Penn State. Huge game for their post-season chances.
  22. I believe the only thing that they do special for Opening Day is introduce the teams down the first base and third base lines like they do in the playoffs and All Star game.
  23. Tickets don't really get released through the tickets.com system for in-demand games anymore. It's possible a few are at the box office, but if it's a small quantity, they don't reopen closed games online or over the phone. There will be other dates that have some good seats released a day or two before the game, though.
