  1. Iowa with 14 LOB tonight. Colorado Springs with 8.
  2. Yeah, it wasn't even that great of a defensive play. A good job getting back there and in position, but he didn't jump that high and he didn't take it away.
  3. Don't think that was getting out (looked like it moved up in his glove after the catch), but Pierre sure played him perfectly.
  4. Corey thus far: Key Stats AB HR AVG RBI R SB 65 3 .277 11 14 7 Pierre: Key Stats AB HR AVG RBI R SB 126 0 .238 2 18 11 The old change of scenery argument strikes again. 1-2-3 inning? I'll take it. Amazing what not batting in front of Neifi can do for one's running game (in addition to getting on base more).
  5. Felix's BA is back down to .275 after a 1-5 day. His OPS is below .750. They go to the 11th in Iowa.
  6. That was a tighter curve than I've seen him throw.
  7. Hill has some speed. And nice range by Walker.
  8. Nothing like sitting on a fastball up!
  9. Serial mismanagement. Is that like your wife buying Fruit Loops instead of Cheerios ?? Not sure, but someone stole Dusty's Lucky Charms a loooooong time ago.
  10. Has Hill thrown a slider yet since being called up?
  11. Giants give up an out right away and the Cubs give it right back by playing the infield in.
  12. Hahahahaha. Let that terrible managing begin.
  13. Beats Mike saying "The Cubs don't win the pennant! The Cubs don't win the pennant!" Hey, made it to the outfield grass!
  14. Glad someone else heard "June 10." I was kinda shocked by that. But the more I think about it, if the small cast is coming off on June 3, mid-June doesn't seem too unlikely. Certainly a lot better than July 1 or later that most people originally feared.
  15. From his interview on the WGN Radio pregame show: -Is pretty much only lifting with his legs right now. He cut out the cardio because he was losing too much weight -The big cast comes off on Friday -He'll be in a smaller cast for an additional three weeks and hopes to have that off on June 3 -He's looking at a return around June 10 Of course, June 10 seems rather optimistic, but it's nice to have a target.
  16. Dear media, Babe Ruth doesn't have a HR "record." Once it's broken, you shouldn't call it a record. Dear Giants fans, Rubber chickens are stupid and an insult to the rest of your offense. Please direct the boos to your GM. If Sabean won't listen to you, flash him an AARP card.
  17. Micah needs to try and keep pace.
  18. I thought the ankle injury occurred on Saturday and that he's been feeling fine.
  19. Absolute certainty? Perhaps not. But I'd say it was pretty close considering that the bat was around head level and still on its way up. He threw that with a heck of a lot more force than is requireed to flip it near the plate. That's a pretty big miscalculation. Either way, I'm fine with the penalty. 50 games (and $175,000) and 50 hours of community service is still a lot.
  20. The answer is (games remaining in 2006) + 2(162 games)
  21. Wow... Pierre can overthrow the cutoff man! Never thought that would happen!
  22. Rothschild was raving about his slider. Always nice to see him K someone on it looking.
