    Missed it, but last game he was swaying back and forth until the camera got on him. Then he just froze.

    Get home exactly at 1:30 to find the cable out. Now the cable is back and the game isn't on. Good thing I wasn't going to rely on my VCR for this one.

    Let's play which players in the Cubs' farm system (current or recent) have better minor league stats than Freddie Bynum. I'll start: Luis Montanez Nic Jackson Buck Coats Jemel Spearman Sadly, Dwaine Bacon didn't make the list, but it was close.

    No, no, no. Dusty had Zambrano on a super secret pitch count against the Reds at the end of May to rest him. So they know he's getting overworked. Therefore, everything's okay. No need to keep him from throwing 125+ pitches in consecutive outings.

    Damnit, I'll probably have to miss the entire first half tomorrow. Does anyone know if the game will be on ESPN radio?

    Looks like he was put on the DL on June 8. And it looks like he pulled a Redick.

    Looks like a great battle. But did anybody notice if he swung at a bunch of balls out of the zone? You hate to lose a batter after a 3-1 count. He swung at 12 out of 16 pitches. I haven't been watching the whole game, but the outside corner hasn't really been there on a lot of pitches, so he probably was swinging at quite a few that would be called balls. However, most were pretty close. One of the pitches around 9 or 10 was definitely outside and there was another that was low, I believe, but aside from those, they were all probably a little too borderline to take.

    ESPN's coverage got an additional point for the Holy Grail references, but they're still pissing me off.

    I hope not, as well. I still have the ball I got from Rondell White while I was in the family section before the 8th inning on 10/2/01.

    What a terrible, terrible jump by Lane.

    Bynum has no upside and hopefully no future with this team. But it would be just like Hendry and Baker to stunt the growth of a younger player with potential to make sure the teams that are actually still in it get honest competition.
