    112 and 94 MPH aside, he's getting pretty decent movement on his fastball.

    Good AB by Pie to draw the non-walk on the 3-1 pitch. Second ball 4 is actually a walk.

    According to Lou, Hill has his rotation spot locked up and Theriot has his spot on the roster, as well.

    This strike zone is quite bad.

    I think you should do that to a point. Blanco is going to get his 30-40 starts-to use the pitching matchups to determine when those starts are going to come is a good idea IMO. To give him more starts than Barrett needs off to rest because of the pitching matchups? That's not such a good idea. Lou would be looking at a pretty useless sample, though.

    I sure hope Lou considering how the catchers match up stat-wise with certain pitchers is just a lot of talk to make Blanco feel good...

    The ESPNC games were on tape delay with scores spoiled quite often during the game itself. Of course, now that Comcast moved ESPNC from standard cable to deluxe, it's not much of an issue for me...

    Looks like FSC will carry about 140 Italian Serie A matches each season. They signed a 3-year deal.

    Piniella said that he couldn't get his breaking ball over, so that's certainly conflicting. But Lou did acknowledge that Prior was working mostly in the mid-80s.

    Napoleon Harris signed a 6-year deal with the Chiefs guaranteeing him around $6-7 million.

    Time to pray that the NCAA finds some obscure rule prohibiting those uniforms.

    I think there's some cause for concern, but it was obvious that he wasn't throwing like he was in his previous sessions. We'll just have to wait and see how he progresses. Not much can be drawn from this outing other than he has a little ways to go.

    Just finished watching the West Ham defeat. My jaw dropped for about 10 seconds. Amazing.

    I guess we know what motivates Santana. I just lost a lot of respect for him. That quote there represents alot of things that are wrong with professional sports today. I guess we know that what motivates Santana is the same thing that motivates about 95% of pro athletes. All he's saying is that if he decides not to re-sign with the Twins before he hits the free agent market, the Twins will have a lot of competition. I don't really see what's wrong with it. Of course his agent is going to be in charge and have a field day if that happens. Minnesota is well aware of that.

    Hinrich makes both FTs to make it 126-121. The Bulls are actually going to pull with one out with 3.9 seconds left. 126-121 the final. Gordon finished with 48.
