  1. I thought Lilly was gonna break the bat over his leg there for a second.
  2. 7 of the 8 playoff series is going to go to at least 6 games. That's insane but I bet the NHL is happy with all that extra money.
  3. Anybody else's Comcast WGN feed flickering and ghosting like crazy?
  4. Oh so close to being the no. 1 web gem of the day
  5. You couldn't pay me enough money to be on the receiving end of that slide.
  6. I think Escobar could have actually tagged Lee before Fukudome crossed the plate.
  7. And just like that, Joakim Noah will never go to another baseball game.
  8. Does Z pitch tonight? Anybody want to take this action?
  9. Understood. My point is that the incentive for expansion on the NCAA's end was to get the new deal. Now that they've got that deal, they don't have the major incentive to expand to 96 until we get to around 2020 or so. They aren't going to make substantially more money by expanding it while staying within the current tv deal. They also heard much of the backlash against it over the last few months. As I said CBS/Turner may think they can get more return on their investment by expanding but it's not their decision. If the membership wants to expand, the NCAA will try to expand. Sure, the NCAA has its money now, but the association still answers to their constituents.
  10. Does this pave the way for the Great West conference to get an automatic bid? Also, will CBS still do its thing where they cut live into games that are going down to the wire? I know that all games will now be shown live on one network or another, but it's nice to have CBS switch for us and not have to keep track of every single game all the time. I would hate to miss an exciting finish just because I lost track of a game somewhere along the way.
  11. If there were no game, I'd still would have gotten my money's worth.
  12. Last year featured a day where the Cubs and White Sox both won and the Bulls won game 1 vs. the Celtics and the Hawks won their playoff game too.
  13. Not without a sign in trade in which Deng or Hinrich and some combination went out in exchange. I don't want Wade though to be perfectly honest. Him and Rose's skills will not compliment each other at all and each will be less effective. If the Bulls want the best bang for their buck this offseason (outside of Lebron of course) they should target Bosh as their main FA. Him and Ros playing pick and roll would be awesome. Just add some additional shooters and defenders. After signing Wade or Bosh by the way, we'd have roughly $4.3M to spend on another FA piece. Totally agree on hoping they end up with Bosh as opposed to Wade. Is that $4.3 million with the raised cap? Yes, it is based on a 56.1M cap figure. It also assumes that Chris Richard's salary next year is completely unguranteed, which I assume it is. At worst, you'd have to add an additional cap liability of $380,785, which is the difference of having Richard's salary as a cap hold, and having the minimum salary as a cap hold. Chris Bosh_________$16,568,908 Luol Deng__________$11,345,000 Kirk Hinrich_________$9,000,000 Derrick Rose________$5,546,160 Free Agent_________$4,483,100 Joakim Noah________$3,128,536 James Johnson______$1,713,600 #17 Pick____________$1,302,600 Taj Gibson__________$1,117,680 Min Cap Hold_________$473,604 Min Cap Hold_________$473,604 Min Cap Hold_________$473,604 Min Cap Hold_________$473,604 Total Salary_______$56,100,000 I thought rookie scale salaries don't count towards the cap.
  14. Len: The last thing you want to do is take your no. 1 starter out of the rotation and then see Silva or Gorzelanny struggle. You should have stopped halfway through that sentence.
  15. God help me if Lou starts batting the pitcher 8th.
  16. Everytime I think this organization couldn't get any dumber, they go and do something like this ...... AND COMPLETELY REDEEM THEMSELVES.
  17. Yay, now Kaplan ragging on Soriano, the one player who is actually hitting.
  18. But but but ... Zambrano has been terrible this year and he was terrible last year. Terrible pitchers go to the bullpen!
  19. GUYS PROBLEM SOLVED
