    it's British, and since the lousy canucks still bow to the queen, that's how they have to write it. Yep. The biggest surprise to me when I visited Toronto was all the reference to and reverence for the queen. They're still a member of the British Commonwealth as well. As I've learned during the Winter Olympics.

    this is something i very rarely speculate on, but my gut feeling is that there are serious leadership problems in vancouver. they have way too much talent to just get slammed aside like this. they tend to whine more than other teams and resort to cheap play quickly. seems like there's a lack of accountability starting from the top. i don't have anything to base this on, which kind of makes it a dumb post, but that's just the feeling i get. losing 2 straight games in a row like that at home is straight up embarrassing. Well, they can start by letting someone other than the freaking goalie be the captain.

    I don't believe this story for a second. Jeff Baker does not seem like the type of person to clown around like this. You've seen him take his ABs and play the field ... he ALWAYS has a serious expression on his face.

    Remember when people were saying Cedeno should start over Theriot back in early 2008? That's nothing. I remember people being excited for Kelton, Montanez, Hill, and Choi being our Infield of the Future. Only thing Cubs can develop is pitching Geovany Soto says "hi" But other than that, you're right. Great timing
