Now now, I am sure Mr Calipari knows nothing of these violations and is not involved at all. :good: Yeah, in fact that will put him in the same boat as, well, the NCAA.
What is that bulge running down its right leg? you're very clever, but it's penises all the way down It is to intimidate all Athletes from Asia and Africa, and the African will just laugh Which African will laugh?
Why does everyone keep harping on the Flyers defense? They allowed 225 goals this season, good for 15th in the league, tied with the Predators. Both the Canucks and Sharks allowed less goals for the season.
I know I saw this before. There is a website that calculates the salary a player should make based on their performance for that year. It is based on sabremetrics. I can't remember the name of the website though. Does anybody know what I'm talking about?
Very interesting read about the World Cup teams translated into American sports teams. It was a fun little game trying to guess which American team it was before it was revealed: http://theunlikelyfan.blogspot.com/2010/05/disclaimer-im-new-to-this-site-and-im.htm
It's obvious nothing I saw will change your mind about Calipari. My point is that the problem is with the NCAA not being able to reconcile their need to make millions of dollars and their purpose of providing student-athletes with a quality education. I don't think Calipari is above reproach, but the much bigger issue is the NCAA's greed and hypocrisy. Sort that out first, and coaches like Calipari will slowly disappear.
People are making millions of dollars off their talents and hard work, while they have to go through the motions of going to class and get nothing for it in high school and college. It's only natural for players like them to start looking for ways to skirt the rules. Camby and Rose will have played college basketball somewhere. All Calipari said is "hey, you can come play for me." It's silly to scapegoat Calipari for not hiding the less savory parts of college basketball when everybody knows they exist and are profiting off it as well.
No wrongdoing on the part of Calipari there. He makes no qualms about what college basketball is about: winning games and making money. So he recuits the types of players that can do that for him, guys that are more likely to get in trouble, but that doesn't mean Calipari is doing anything wrong.
So what exactly did Cal come up with that changed his mind so quickly? What a farce this guy is making of the NCAA. http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/2010-04-27-ncaa-president-emmert_N.htm woops! Won't matter. Coach Cal is untouchable. The talking heads at ESPN don't even go after him. I get he's Italian and thus Vitale is in love with him, but what about Bilas and Gotlieb? Why can't these guys even question him? What is there to go after Calipari for? I think we all agree that the NCAA is a sham and is a money-making organization masquerading as being about the student-athletes. I have no problem with coaches like Calipari who take one-and-dones and hand them off to the NBA, exposing the system for what it is.
So what exactly did Cal come up with that changed his mind so quickly? What a farce this guy is making of the NCAA. Let's all not pile on Calipari here. Most likely the kid was just pressured into making a decision when his mind wasn't completely made up. The kid should be allowed to change his school if he felt it was best for him.
