  1. HAhahahahha...you must be close to death by now. Taguchi is out cause he didn't retag second base. I have NEVER seen any major league team play this poorly in the field and on the bases.
  2. That is hilarious. Why do the signs say different things in the two pictures? Any word on how the media is covering this, if at all?
  3. What if the new sausage turned out to be an illegal?
  4. I dont think Prior can be depended on anymore. I'm on the Hendry better sign a formidable number 2 SP next season or '07 will be very much like '06. He did just pitch 6+ no-hit innings last time, and he's rusty. I still think he can live up to his billing.
  5. If we keep Wood around, I hope we use him as a closer.
  6. What about Maddux in his prime?
  7. Well, they wouldn't be rookies in 2007. Anyways, that rotation would be the youngest in baseball. But if it worked out, we would have the resources to keep them around for quite a while. Anyways, we don't have Nolasco anymore, so replace his spot with that of a FA pitcher, hopefully Schmidt.
  8. Imagine a rotation of Zambrano, Marshall, Marmol, Nolasco, and Prior. Dang, that rotation looks good now.
  9. Nolasco lost a no-hitter in the 7th inning. Man, he would really have shored up our rotation.
  10. LOL, that's wrong on both counts. Cards are 0-5 vs. the Cubs and 0-3 vs. the Sox.
  11. You should be concentrating on the Reds loss today to the Mets.
  12. Ozzie and Riske got ejected...anybody know what happened?
  13. didn't the devil rays sweep the yankees last year, or something similar to that? I think the Royals did too. And the White Sox blew a 9-4 lead to them last year and a 6-0 lead to them in the opening week of the season. To the Royals? I thought the White Sox were undefeated against the Royals for most of the season.
  14. Lloyd McClendon once stole first base. Well, I'm sure that was entertaining. If I want a fired up entertaining team, I'll just request Barrett sucker punch AJ again. It actually was hilarious. I'm not a Lloyd McClendon supporter, I was just making a joke. Link As for that wikipedia link on Lloyd McClendon, it says that he homered in five consecutive at-bats in the Little League World Series. I believe it was also the first pitch he saw in those five at-bats, so he homered on five consecutive pitches.
  15. Good. I want him to come back against the White Sox....should provide a little bit extra juice for that series.
  16. The White Sox totally exposed the Reds last week.
  17. Put yourself in the rookie's shoes. I would be so pissed off and frustrated. First of all, YOU are being sent into the game for a team you do not know to do the MANAGER'S dirty work. You are then pulled after doing something POSITIVE and then CHEWED OUT on CAMERA! The next day, you are then SENT BACK DOWN to the minors. Oh, and you cannot do ANYTHING about this!! Nothing at all! It sucks when you have an unreasonable boss that you know is treating you unfairly but you can't do anything about, cause you'd get fired otherwise.
  18. http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/cs-060618piven,1,2245680.story But it doesn't include the "money shot". Piven always struck me as a little too self aware, too cool for the room... Why would they include the video but cut out precisely the part THAT THE FREAKING ARTICLE FOCUSES ON!!!??
  19. Which can only be good for baseball. I grew tiresome of seeing their stadium half empty for their playoff games.
  20. Who are you? Am I getting too well known?
  21. That's great to hear. I think he could skip his next minor league start and come back to the majors. Whoa....does this mean no more Rusch starts ever??
  22. I want someone with a fiery temper, who will get into the face of his players....someone like Jim Leyland or Lou Piniella.
