    Yes, a walk is like adding a single, except that it makes the pitcher throw more pitches. (It's not like a single in the fact that runners can't advance if a base is open)

    The very first HR on there is the back end of Sosa and Alou's back2back shots. It's true, the Cubs have not gotten a walk of win this yr. Have the Cubs even had a lead in the 9th? Yes, at least 45 times. And then add in the 5 blown saves by Dempster.

    Awesome video. Did you have a vid of the Alou/Sosa back to back jacks in 2004? Also, I think the Cubs do not have a walk off win at all this year. Any stats on how many walk off wins other teams have?

    Why was Giraldi off 1st base on that play? He kinda just stopped in his tracks on his way back to first and didn't even try to avoid the tag.

    Thanks for the video. Did anybody else find it funny that at the end of the video, it was mentioned that Kerry Wood would miss his next start due to shoulder problems? And Pierre in a Rockies uniform!!!

    Watching that was kinda painful. I think it's just that knowing the Pirates organization right now, I feel kinda sorry for them. I wish they had gotten their World Series in the early 90s just so they aren't so frustrated right now.

    YES YES YES!!! He would make an awesome closer. As far as I'm concerned, I think Wood owes this club one more good season after all the money the Cubs wasted on him.

    See, I think wins and losses are overrated. They are a direct reflection of what the offense does for the pitcher, not how the well he pitches. ERA, WHIP, BB/9, SO/9....those are stats that directly reflect pitching. Regardless, congrats to Carlos.
