  1. Izturis almost pulled an Orlando Cabrera.
  2. Hi, my name is Len Kasper and beside me is Bob Brenly. http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/6678/image08011902tv69ev7.jpg[/img]
  3. You didn't ask about what's feasible, you asked what I wanted. And no, you don't have to have guys like Mientkiewicz in your lineup. I am a firm believer in offense first, offense last. Defense is an afterthought. And if the season ended today, the team with the best offense in the major leagues will not make the playoffs.
  4. OBP - getting on base. That should be self-explanatory. I could care less if he's RH or LH, if he can bunt or run. He needs to get on base. What about the 7 and 8 hitters? I want all of my players to be adept at getting on base. OBP is my #1 for 1-8, SLG is #1a in 3-6. My 7-8 are the ones with the lower OPS. Well, it's not feasible for any team to have that much abundance of riches. You also have to have guys who are in the lineup because of their glove, like Mientkiewicz or Orlando Cabrera.

  6. Can somebody explain to me what stats you want your no. 2 hitter to excell in, and why?
  7. If I were king for a day, Dusty and his entire coaching staff would be on the gallows. (not chris spier ofcourse) :) So the only person you would keep is the drunk?
  8. But this would upset the fans, and we all know that attendance is more important then winning to the Cubs I can't see how having more night games would decrease attendence. If anything, it would increase attendence since most people are off work at night.
  9. Yeah, Cedeno must have been thinking of actual game situations. I doubt that Hendry would lie on a live broadcast.
  10. For some reason, after the Cubs trades today, this makes me feel even worse.
  11. Didn't you say this for his last start against Weaver?
  12. Haven't you heard? Izturis can jump high enough to catch the meatballs that would otherwise find their way to Sheffield.
  13. Seriously, how many runs can Cedeno/Izturis save for us per game? .5 runs? .25 runs? I just don't see it being a determining factor whether we win or lose.
  14. You mean the Cubs lineup needs to help out Big Z tonight. Prior can't do a damn thing about Webb, with his two at-bats.
  15. They were swept in 4 games, so it was just like their World Series, too. :P LOL, that was funny and witty. I tip my hat to you, sir.
  16. Too bad when the first place team loses, another team that we're chasing wins.
  17. I did see this clip on youtube, but I can't seem to find it there anymore.
  18. I love Carlos Zambrano cause I think it's quite possible that he may, in fact, be insane. He's kinda like Adam Morrison in that way.
  19. LOL, wow would Epstein be brought out into the streets and beaten to death if he did that.
  20. Clearly, he decided to go after more than one heckler. ;) Also, in past games where the weather was like this (heat warning today!), typically players from the Cubs come out with hoses and use them on the fans in the bleachers. It's a surprisingly good way to cool down. If you look closely at the two pictures, he's spraying down the same fan.
  21. Amazing how he just found his stroke at the plate as soon as he left the Cubs.
  22. Another freaking error by the Cards. Thank you for sucking, Cards.
  23. Neifi's been confused by his bat a lot lately.
