It's all about "what have you done lately" with Bud Black. Maddux popped up a bunt in his first AB, so Bud Black loses faith in him to get the job done. Funny, cause I never seem to complain about Maddux's bunting skills when he was a Cub.

Which is A-OK with me. I'm LOVING how patient he's been so far this season. I hope he keeps it up. Patience is not just about laying off the bad pitches. It's also about taking those fat, juicy straight-down-the-center pitches and depositing them in the stands. Sometimes those occur on the very first pitch. I'm a little bit concerned that Aramis's decrease in contact percentage when he swings on balls in the strike zone.

Two things: 1) Duke 68 Clemson 66 on the scroller ... yay David McClure and horrible refs! 2) I think there was some chemistry between Michael and Gail. They would make a cute couple.

If there are suspensions, nothing will happen quickly enough for it to impact our series with them. Why not? Haven't you heard the Cubs get all the breaks?

They used Ankiel to start the inning, so all they had on the bench was Kennedy, Ryan, and LaRue. They were kinda hosed no matter what. Down here they're bitching about LaRussa letting Schumaker hit in the 8th against a lefty with guys on 1st and 3rd. Probably a bad move considerin he's hitting .208 this year against lefties. No way. LaRussa never makes bad moves.

It wouldn't have been a force out thus meaning the run would have counted. Not 100% sure that is correct, but pretty positive, someone help me on this? Yes, as long as the run crossed home plate before the tag was applied, the run counts.
