Hershiser owns the record at 59, he broke Drysdale's record of 58 2/3 No, look at his game logs at the end of 1988 and the beginning of 1989. He got the last out in the 5th inning of a game in 1988, then pitched 59 consecutive scoreless innings to end 1988, and then got two guys out in the first inning of his first game in 1989. That's 60 innnings, or if you don't count that beginning out, that's 59 2/3.
