  1. There was no reason to keep throwing Fielder breakin balls right there. Just thrown him a fastball and challenge him to hit it I think he's shown the ability to hit it quite enough.
  2. How do hot girls get such good seats?
  3. Yep, that's the Canadian hockey gene right there.
  4. Damn our hitters for hitting HR's with RISP or with 2 outs instead of singles!
  5. Nope, only a handful of players have even hit 4 HR's in a game. I thought ARod would have the best shot at it, but DLee tonight gives me slight slight hope.
  6. It's funny that you laugh about that since we are pretty much the kings of bringing in a reliever and having him walk the first batter he faces. Yeah, but it's funny when other teams do it.
  7. LOL Brewers ... McClung could have just as easily walked Theriot on 4 pitches.
  8. Just IBB Fuld and save yourself some pitches and embarassment.
  9. This is about as much fun as last year's 19-5 game. Wish Brewers still had Turnbow though.
  10. What is his pitch limit for the game?
  11. What's McClung's pitch limit for today?
  12. LOL at the reference to "I don't believe what I just saw."
  13. Always love those discussions since they remind me of this. LOL, it's funny cause they're talking about them being white.
  14. Yep, happened to Kendall so it must happen to McGehee. The Kendall example was just that: An example of how people get all hot and bothered over a hot streak instead of realizing the type of player that is currently hot and why they likely won't keep it up. Just because Kendall did it doesn't mean Casey will. Of course. But my point remains the same, and quite honestly, I think you understood that before you even posted. Kendall has been around for awhile and he's old and way past his peak. If you predicted he wouldn't keep up his hot start last season, it would be for those reasons. McGehee's still 26 and could very well still be developing. Why isn't it likely he won't put up, say, a .800 OPS?
  15. Yep, happened to Kendall so it must happen to McGehee.
  16. Remember when Jose Macias almost hit a line drive in the final game of the 2005 season against the Astros, which could have possibly led to a 1-game wild card playoff between the Astros and Phillies? That was awesome.
  17. Who the heck is Sam Fuld? Why would they call up somebody so obscure when they could call up Scales, who actually has a few games of experience. Can Scales not play CF, and is that a huge issue?
  18. So what exactly could he have done? The Cubs team doesn't have somebody comparable to Chris Perez. . Who's responsible for that? So Hendry should have had the foresight to stack the major league roster with players that might have been good trade bait for DeRosa somewhere down the line should the Indians season go into the tank? Criticize Hendry for trading DeRosa in the first place? Sure. Criticize him for signing off-injured Milton Bradley? Understandable. Criticize him for not being able to nix this trade? That doesn't make sense.
  19. So what exactly could he have done? The Cubs team doesn't have somebody comparable to Chris Perez. They have pitchers that are worse or better. He can't offer something worse obviously, and something better would have been too high of a price to pay.
  20. I believe Pocius still has another year of eligibility.
  21. This isn't a really a transaction.
