    Yes, I know that 1) The games still count in the standings and 2) The Nats have a couple of MLB quality players ... but let's face it, this is a AAA team we just beat. They haven't even won 30 games. I'm not going to get excited. The next series against the Phillies will be more telling. The Phillies are playing well right now, and they are the world champs. It'll be quite a statement series if we can take it on the road.

    I'm pretty sure I know where the Cubs play. And I'm pretty sure Obama knows where the White Sox play. You can tell he really likes baseball, and when asked about it, he has a lot to say. It could just be a case of his thoughts running faster than his mouth. Happens.

    Man, this story annoys me for so many reasons. Yes, mainly because they threw Kawano out of Wrigley. But if I'm reading it correctly, the security guards recognized who he was and still threw him out. Geez. Oh yeah, the story also mentions Buck O'Neil, one of the great ambassadors to the game of baseball, and who was NOT voted into the HOF the first year they allowed Negro League players in. He died during that year, so his induction was posthumous. That snub still makes me seethe.

    Chapter 11 bankruptcy does not mean "out of money". Chapter 11 is debt reorganization. Tell that to the throngs of Cardinals and White Sox fans who don't know any better. This is kinda embarrassing.
