  1. Seriously, what is it going to take to get rid of Howry? I get the feeling Brenly really wants to lose it on him sometimes.
  2. What's up with Aram's defense lately?
  3. I had to laugh when they did that Hill interview on the radio with Hughes I think it was, they did a disclaimer that "warning, this story could be graphic." Uh, yeah, cutting off four of your fingers has that tendency.
  4. It's just at the point with me that Lee is the LAST guy I want to see up in that situation right now. Do we really have any idea what the heck is going on with him?
  5. I always wonder how this plays out in the clubhouse... do the coaches just decide this and then go to the players and tell them what the plan is? Do you think the players ever object? I mean, not that it matters, but there's always that stereotype that the "gamer" always wants the ball.
  6. I know and Theriot has been so good at getting on base, too. Looks like they're sensing desperation!
  7. Fifteen wins? How many total games are there? That still means winning more than half of what is left, right?

  9. But is there some law against the Cubs blasting through September and forgoing a slump? I'm for it.
  10. I can't believe they can all go so ice cold like this all at once for days, and even with the last two wins, it wasn't like they were hitting the ball around the park all day. I kinda thought we wanted to win these games at home with being on the road so much here soon.

  12. In a week when Howry and Marquis actually looked decent, and Zambrano and Harden weren't in top form, it seems that Cub fans are being thrown for a loop!
  13. Dusty Lite, so true! Maybe that will work to the Cubs' advantage then when Sheets or Sabbathia come up with a sore arm.
  14. Is this a typical thing? Will all contending teams be doing the same thing?
  15. I hope so. Aren't any of the Brewers' starters in need of a day or two or a week or two off?
  16. Sorry. While I want them in the playoffs either way, this season needs to end with a Divisional winner. If it's anything less, I'll assume we lost some momentum and aren't going to be in great shape going into the playoffs, so I want to see the Cubs as division champs, on a number of levels.
  17. No doubt. This thread title scared me to death. With Z not going today, this isn't what I wanted to hear!
  18. I was just starting to get a little weak in the knees. A little reassurance never hurt anyone. It's not so much the Cubs I'm worried about, it's more that the Brewers aren't faltering!
  19. I know. I was in and out of the room during that part of the game, and saw him up to bad and thought here comes an out. Sad to think that way.
  20. Yeah, just trying to stir the pot
  21. I was just thinking about that today. Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out.
  22. looks like Theriot doesn't have to worry about driving him in
  23. OMG. Soriano gets picked off. Did he leave his meds in Chicago?
