    Maybe I should reconsider for selfish reasons. Let's build it in the suburbs, Joliet area. There's some great open land they just cleared, right down the road from a casino, minutes from I-80 and I-55. Just happens to be basically in my back yard, how sweet.

    Is Ron and Pat's call of the end of the game linked anywhere? I was watching it on TV, and only heard the radio broadcast replay briefly. I'd like to hear Ron's remarks. He seemed pretty quiet from the little I heard.

    Man, I am so sick of listening to the guys on ESPN and news channels talk about "should there be an asterisk" ... the Astros were tired, they were worried about their families, the pitcher lost his cell phone, they got in late, Cubs had "home field" advantage. Come on, deal with it.

    Actually he is hitting just like he used to. He had one fluke season in the middle of his peak years. He's well past that peak and will most likely remain well below his peak numbers going forward. Why is this so hard for people to understand/accept? He's probably capable of multiple hot streaks that could last a month or more at a time. But DLee 2005 is never coming back, and he's most likely never going to look anything like that again. This truth makes me sad. Yes, the truth definitely hurts.

    Personally, none of it makes sense at this point. The Cubs can get to a neutral site, but how in the heck are the Astros supposed to get anywhere for Sunday?

    As of right now (1 p.m. Central), are they still shooting for a double header on Sunday and one game on Monday? I keep hearing conflicting things. Thanks.

    I just don't see why Lee himself doesn't want to do more about it. Maybe he has, I wouldn't know I guess, but I don't buy into the theory that he's just done hitting like he used to and is now on his end-of-the-career decline (as suggested on a recent game thread). Something is up, no doubt, and I wish it could be figured out! With him stepping it up even half the time, think of how many more games this team wins.

    Yea, they're saying it was self-inflicted. I would cry if a current remember of this team hurt himself by doing something like that. Even if it was Bob Howry? :wink: He's the one exception!
