    It would have been nice had the Cubs put up any kind of legit effort though. But they didn't. And this is what happened. It is what it is. The Cubs are getting into the playoffs much more often now than in their last 60 years. It gives them a better chance to go all the way, but it also drastically increases the odds of things like this happening. I'll take that so long as they keep putting a competitive team out there. Eventually, you'll punch through. You definitely have a lot more faith in this franchise than I do. Although obviously not a perfect team, how much better of a team/season can a team have and still completely fall flat on their collective faces? We'll win some year as a completely undeserving Wild Card and I will weep like a baby. Seriously, that's what it's gonna have to be. Have a mediocre seasons, sneak in the last week, go in as the total underdog and take it all.

    Liar. They'll never win it. I've wasted 30 years. this loss is much more bitter than all the rest. It is more bitter. Why is that? I am not down about it, like I was last year, this year I am PISSED.

    Hilarious! Same here as the missus has a cold and kept coughing. Midway through the 5th I said "just go to bed would ya". Cold leftovers for me going forward. Thank you Chicago Cubs. Yeah, and my kid called for a ride home from a friend's house. I told him chill for a bit so I can watch the game, but now I am reconsidering that. I feel the need to get out from this room and this TV.
