  1. Out of curiosity, which stat(s) was this in regards to?
  2. I can't tell if that was sarcasm, but if by "running his mouth" you mean speaking his mind and being honest, then yes he is. While his play has been disappointing at times, it's refreshing to have someone who will give you his honest opinion whether you like it or not. You were right in your original thought. It was sarcasm.
  3. I don't see Henry Blanco mentioned anywhere. I really think he deserves some credit for what he has done. He really picked up offensively and has once again been nothing, but stellar at the catching position. He really seems to know his role. He always hustles....runs out everything. Not too shabby for a back up catcher who is in his mid 30's.
  4. That's Ronnie "Woo Woo" Wickers. The most famous Cub fan behind a couple notables. 1. Steve Bartman 2. Bill Murray 3. Ronnie "WooWoo"
  5. I love this Joe Morgan quote when taken out of the context of the conversation and just viewed alone. "I always feel bad for second basemen."
  6. I knew the Cubs would turn back into a pumpkin, but I really thought it might wait until their next game.
  7. The amazing thing is that the Cubs actually got the first hitter of the inning to make an out.
  8. Hendry should have to sit in the stands and witness all this.
  9. Paging Mr. Hendry.......Mr. Jim Hendry.
  10.
  11. I think he felt he needed to rest his wrist.
  12. Blazing Saddles is funny, but the 2006 Cubs are funnier.
  13. Now the nation gets to see the ineptitude mixed with the dumb luck that is Cub baseball.
  14. Now, this more like the Cubs we see on a daily basis.
  15. Right now, Omar is wondering how he can obtain Marshall. While Hendry is in his office wondering if he can obtain veteran infielder, Jose Valentin and would Sean Marshall be a deal that Omar would accept.
  16. Bob and Len setting at home and scratching their heads wondering why they couldn't be calling this game as opposed to the duds they've had to call.
  17. Right now people around the country question how the Cubs can be losing based on witnessing this performance thus far. I hear the echoes out there.........Dusty is an excellent manager!
  18. Well, it'd probably only be 3-0 at the most anyways, and then we'd all just get more depressed when we blew a 3 run lead, instead of the two run lead we're gonna blow. In Marshall I trust. :D
  19. I wonder if Steve Bartman ever watches ESPN. He is probably sitting in front ot the TV cursing aloud and screaming, "What about Alex Gonzalez????"
  20. I can't imangine. 07/05 - 07/15 AB R H 2B 3B HR TB RBI BB SO BA OBP SLG OPS Lee 23 3 4 2 0 0 6 0 5 7 0.174 0.321 0.261 0.582 I think those 5 walks are the argument to play him unless Lee himself really feels he should be sitting out tonight.
  21. Great job giving D-Lee a day off for a nationally televised game. Great managing from the top on down the line... Doesn't want to put the national television pressure on DLee. He is young you know? Mabry the crafty veteran will be able to handle that kind of pressure better.
