  1. I was just going to say... that's like 11 HR's in 160 post-ASB plate appearances. Much better than earlier in the season.
  2. This is the first time I've seen Patterson.
  3. I think Edmonds faked an ankle injury yesterday while running on the basepaths to cover up a dumb mental blunder.
  4. That was awesome. I'm guessing he just got the wind knocked out of him.
  5. While I do post in game threads at Gateway, I try to avoid it, if possible. FanForever usually gives updates to the game, and he's usually a good 30 seconds ahead of me... I often get the outcome of current at-bats spoiled for me when I post there.
  6. I am NOT saying you're being childish. I just realize how inane this argument is right now and that the comment I made was very susceptible to a "you're a hypocrite" comment. Maybe I just mis-understood your post. I just got a really bad vibe from it. It sounded like you completely overreacted to what I said. All I asked was why Ramirez argued, and then you completely over-analyzed it. "What? You call that arguing?" It's like we're getting into a semantical battle or something. Just drop it. It's probably my fault that it started, but confusion and misinterpretation are the only reason its continuing. I should have just said nothing at all. You win. I'll concede this argument. Shouldn't you be on your own board celebrating your win and not in here bating posters? im not up on the lingo, but is that trolling? Yes, that would be trolling. He thinks I'm trying to set people or up something, which is really ridiculous.

All I asked was why Ramirez argued, and then you completely over-analyzed it. "What? You call that arguing?" It's like we're getting into a semantical battle or something. You made it seem like I was being a biased Cards fan that was trying to terrorize him (that's the vibe I got). Just drop it. 8. Groundout, Cards win.
  9. Calm down, dude. Honestly. Did I miss something here? Calm down? You are completely overblowing everything I said. (I know what's coming next -- "you should talk.")
  10. Ankiel makes a leaping catch (saving a game-tying double)? Then he absent-mindedly just floats around out there, thinking it's the third out. Runner doesn't advance, though. Runner on first, 2 outs in the 9th.
  11. Different umps have different zones. Len and Bob agreed it was a called a strike all day (their words, not mine). If its a pitch that is consistently being called, then yes, it is a strike.
  12. Yeah, I was kind of surprised he argued it. hes probably just sick of a pitch that isnt a strike being called a strike. St. Albert wouldn't have said a word. He wouldn't have broken his helmet either. Would've taken it off signed it and given it to orphans. Orphans with diseases. I'm not insinuating that at all. I'm just saying (as has been pointed out), it was already called a strike earlier in the at-bat... why would he take the pitch? You didn't ask why he'd take the pitch, you asked why he'd argue, what the hell do you expect? It's a pitch he's had called on him a few times today(not that exact one, I thought the others were further outside) and he hasn't agreed with it all day, when it winds up being a called 3rd on you in a key situation, what else is he gonna do?? And if by argue you mean say 3 words to him, then yes he argued. It was a quick unnecessary tossing. Calm down, dude. Honestly.
  13. 3-2 Cards. Reds have one out and a runner on first.
  14. The pitch was outside. If it was outside it was off the plate by half an inch. It broke back over the plate in my opinion. Obviously we're not going to convince one another, so lets just drop it.

  16. I personally thought it was a strike. I just looked at it with Tivo. It was definitely over the plate, the only question was whether or not it was high enough. Looked right at the knees to me.
  17. Yeah, I was kind of surprised he argued it.
  18. 3-1; runners at first and third with just one out... C'mon Franklin!
  19. Ankiel sac fly, 3-0.
  20. Aaron Miles with an RBI double. 2-0.
