  1. whatever. TNG was in another class entirely. Deep Space Nine was awesome as well. I'll watch any of them, and am particularly happy to catch the older ones. I hope, someday, to own them all.
  2. it's not in an MLB authorized park That seems like an easy enough loophole to close.
  3. Why don't they just make it a regular season game?
  4. I think he meant "BR", not you.
  5. aramis
  6. Because, you know, the Green Monster isn't as green anymore. Because the advertisements aren't green. And advertisements that don't perfectly blend into their surroundings make watching men play baseball less fun.
  7. Something tells me Monroe, LA is going to be an unfriendly place for Astros fans this summer.
  8. Bad, Jake. Real bad.
  9. The Brewers should give us a run for our money. I see both teams being about 88-90 wins good, off the cuff. Another nail-biter.
  10. The real waste is all those homes. There could be bars and and stores there.
  11. I think I can see the individual red veins in Sean Marshall's eye slits.
  12. They probably subscribe to Carl Everett's Theory of Evolution and Dinosaurs too, so, what they think is of little consequence.
  13. But why is every decision not to vote the outcome of a apathetic slacker? It's not, and abstaining from voting is a conscious decision. The metaphor is just that, a metaphor. The point of the metaphor is what's important, and the point is that for a lot of people (generally well over half), who on a general level probably feel as if they care about governance and citizenship just as much as anyone else, feel that the options presented to them aren't worth deciding over. Perhaps even, at worst, the person just doesn't feel the need to participate in that specific civic duty. And how on Earth is it at all reprehensible for a person who feels disengaged from the political system to leave the decisions (and they are important) to those who are? That's not irresponsible or the product of being willfully ignorant or what have you, it's actually really responsible if you think about it. It gives more weight to individuals like you and I who do chose to go out and cast votes.
  14. Any room left to pile on in here?
  15. Well, first, I think you mean "Antonetti". Second, he works for the Indians. Third... or maybe first, you're thinking of DePodesta. I must be missing some kind of joke here, and if so, I look pretty dumb in posting this, but I'm thinking he means Matt Antonelli, Pads 3B prospect. Crap. I forget there's an Antonelli in baseball too. ](*,)
  16. f pecota. I predict that if Ryan Dempster starts baseball games as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs, he will have a Ryan Dempster-ish year. Comparables: Ryan Dempster, Matt Clement. His stat line will be: generally underwhelming/prone to ridicule
  17. Well, first, I think you mean "Antonetti". Second, he works for the Indians. Third... or maybe first, you're thinking of DePodesta.
  18. I'm sure Goose Island will maintain a residence in Wrigleyville, whether it be in this new property or a different one. I though that for those that tended to malign traffic in the Wrigleyville area, that having that parking garage in the Triangle Building would be a bad thing because it would bring more traffic to the area. I would want to restrict automobile use as much as possible.
  19. gee i wonder
  20. That's a bit harsh. Abstaining from the vote is a perfectly acceptable and understandable form of protest. I don't get the bitchiness at people who don't vote. At the very least, by not voting they make your vote more valuable and important. You should be thanking those people, not deriding them.
  21. A combination of the up-and-out curve with the fastball or primarily one over the other that would tend to cause that?
  22. What repeatable skill influences infield fly rates?
  23. It's not the look, it's the fact that it adds just that much extra traffic (of any kind) to the area. In that regard, I just assume that because the area is popular, it will continue to develop. I guess it's hard for me to empathize, as it is a destination for me rather than a home. I understand where you're coming from though.
  24. Joe Morgan had more than 2513 home runs?
