  1. THE GOAT IS INDIFFERENT TO OWNERSHIP
  2. Indeed, it lists the same HR twice, but the first listing has no video or stats, so it just must have been a double-entry or something like that. Those two RBI's from one swing is all Marshall gave up in that start, as far as runs go. Should've been enough for a Cubs W. Typical.
  3. Pie is a defensive wizard. Hunter, not so much. That's a pretty poor comparison. One of those guys is really, really fast, catches anything remotely near him, and has a photon rocket for an arm. The other guy makes catches at the wall. To say that Hunter is good because he makes plays in the Metrodome is a moot point. He plays there 81 times a year. If he hasn't figured out how balls travel on that field then there would be something really wrong with him.
  4. Two words. Off. Fence.
  5. I'd say there's about a 45% chance that Hungry completely blows it at the deadline.
  6. Hit Tracker is pretty sweet. I was introduced to it by Beyond the Box Score a couple of weeks ago. I know I shouldn't torture myself, but this jerk has a pretty good scatter and has an average true distance of 405.3 ft. That's pretty awesome. Or not, depending on how you look at it.
  7. I think he's toned down the hop for the most part. It's still there, but it's not what it once was.
  8. That's pretty neat, are there any more in the works?
  9. Awesome. Thanks a ton, I'll have to dig around on this site later.
  10. What is an 'eco-stadium'?
  11. I was leaning toward Fielder but then I remembered how fat and out of shape he was and how physically taxing it is to hit all those HR's so now I'm leaning toward Howard.
  12. Well obviously, the meaning of his quote is lost in translation. What he said was actually meant to be a compliment, as fresh garbage is a delicacy in Japan.
  13. Please, fill the internet will all your inanities and swap algorythms with your buddies until the cows come home...but DO NOT confuse yourself with a baseball fan. It is an insult to both the true fan and to the game. A baseball fan does not dishonor the game, or those who actually play it, by attempting to reduce them to silly equations.
  14. It's the All-Star Game. Who cares.
  15. He's hitting pretty good this year so far after a couple of 'down' seasons. However, about three innings into his Cubs career he'll probably grind himself face-first into the brick wall hidden by ivy.
  16. Thanks Raisin, I wonder how he has looked in RF so far, as that was his weaker of the two while he was up with the big boys.
  17. A thread in discussions led me to attempt to search out what outfield position(s) Murton has been manning while in Iowa, and the milb.com site didn't give those stats, or at least they didn't appear to be readily available, nor did b-r have them. So I guess I have two questions: Where has Matt Murton been playing? and, Where can I find this information? You know, other than here. Edit: Thanks in advance.
  18. I think you mean RAI, runs armed in. This has nothing to do with his glove. I don't have any 'stats' or information or any of that crap, but I assume that more baseballs are hit to LF than RF, so it would only make sense to a certain extent that his arm serves the defense better in LF at the moment. My only objection to him playing there is if Murt was up with the team and starting everyday, he appears to play LF much better than RF, so I would rather have him bump Sori to right in that situation unless he improves his defense in RF while at Iowa. But that's neither here nor there, because I don't see MM in the organization much longer. Your point appears to be valid, FWIW.
  19. Banedon because I was amazed that he finished off TT. I found that impressive.
  20. Hanley Ramirez.
  21. Pie should be starting everyday for the ML club.
  22. My pocket schedule says Friday.
  23. Haven't looked at the box-score, but I assume that things are not going well. Oh well, it's 95 degrees and I'm going swimming.
