My appreciation level for Lou just dropped a notch. And it's not like Izturis has ever had success against Sheets. Hopefully, this line up concoction will be short lived. After 4 games last year, I had a long list of things that I felt Dusty did wrong. After 4 games with Lou, the only thing I've second guessed on him is taking out Marquis an inning early. Not bad. I'm second guessing him on Izturis, and I hope I end up being wrong and Izturis has a great day in the 2 hole. But, Izturis just isn't an OBP hog and he's better suited to hit at the bottom of the order. What about pinch hitting Cedeno instead of....anyone else? Anyone else = Blanco? Ward or Floyd against a LHP? Just because its Lefty-Lefty doesn't mean its bad. Floyd, incidentally, had better splits against lefties than Cedeno.

Wow, the first time they wore the Orange Alternates there were many many significant differences between the numerals and other parts of the uniform than with the 2005 and 2006 versions.
