    Ok, even so, that inning was somewhat encouraging to me. We chased their starter and forced them to get to their bullpen a little earlier than they'd like. I think we got a bit of a chance.

    A couple Cubs pitchers have the "can't let the Cubs hold a lead for a whole inning" syndrome, I don't know where it comes from.

    Marquis is a terrible, awful pitcher. I want to know why he sucks so much. Ugh. Ugh. And now Jason Michaels kills the cubs on a stupid play again.

    And this can be clearly seen by the fact that we don't have a big lead yet in mid-may. if dayn perry is right and we're going to get less pitching and not better pitching (i don't know how much stock i put into it) and slightly worse offense we might be in some danger, holy crap! pick on bigslick now

    end of the season is gonna be rouuuuuuuuuugh, with a ton of NL central battles. It'd be nice if we could have a comfortable lead before we get there, not gonna happen apparently
