And this can be clearly seen by the fact that we don't have a big lead yet in mid-may. if dayn perry is right and we're going to get less pitching and not better pitching (i don't know how much stock i put into it) and slightly worse offense we might be in some danger, holy crap! pick on bigslick now -

end of the season is gonna be rouuuuuuuuuugh, with a ton of NL central battles. It'd be nice if we could have a comfortable lead before we get there, not gonna happen apparently -

Theres evidence that shows that it may be healthier on pitchers anyway, and since no team can ever really field 5 quality starters, we can get rid of the Jason Marquis' and Shawn Estes' of the world. Which would be great. EDIT: Wow didn't even notice the post above mine. I am speaking off of Baseball Between the Numbers research.

At least the Brewers are losing. Ned Yost can't possibly have a job for much longer. Therein lies the downside. I'm hoping the Brewers can win a couple series in a row to prolong the Yost regime... Him being there for the remainder of the season (in conjunction w/ the loss of Gallardo & the inevitable Sheets injury) would pretty much guarantee that the Brewers won't be in the hunt come September. Not me. I want the Brewers to lose every game not played against the Cardinals or Astros. The sooner they bury the season, the better. Everytime I think about how the Brewers might be out of it already, I remember that we were an impressive 9 games below .500 a little further in the season than now, and we won the division last year. And their team is probably more talented than our team from last year. (Still no Gallardo is a problem for them)

Those last two innings with the Cubs at bat have been embarrassing. So much opportunity to reach base and add to the lead and they just want to go home. That pisses me off. We better not lose because of that.

Who knows what would have happened if Nady didn't make one of several incredible catches and if Lou puts a pitcher in before Z completely melts down. Lou always seems to pull a pitcher several batters too late
