I'm not particularly pumped to see a game that has our worst picher (who is still quite good) paired with Ryan Kalish and Tim Federowicz, but this team has shown that it can win games with every arrangement of players so we'll see. Beat Dusty's Nats and wipe that smug look off Bryce Harper (Who will for sure hit no less than 5 home runs in this series)

I hope Len becomes our Vin Scully in that he stays here forever and grows old with the club. I can't imagine a better play-by-play guy and his voice is definitely the "voice of the Cubs" to me. And unlike Hawk, he's actually good at his job. -
Mike Matheny being a terribly dumb doofus who wins games despite himself bothers me less now that we have a stranglehold on the division and can just laugh at them down there

Honestly I think most Cubs fans have gotten comfortable with it and I think the best evidence in favor of that was how we responded after Schwarber went down. Almost no one was panicking, no one was doomsaying, and everyone knew we still had a phenomenal team. It was a very mature response from a fan base, one that's prone to panic and resignation. -

the Nats/Royals series is tied 1-1 Oh weird, I didn't see the Royals scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 9th to win, that shouldn't have happened

There's no reason to ever be bored with a good baseball team because a good baseball team trouncing another one is always 10000000x more exciting than a bad team, even if that bad team is in more "exciting" games. I root and expect curbstompings every night out. As much as I want walks or dongs every at bat, I kinda hate watching people run the bases. I'm the most ultra-conservative baserunner watcher, even if that isn't optimal and isn't what this team is good at (they're very good at running the bases), just at an emotional level, I haaaaaaaate seeing someone thrown out on the bases.
