  1. After vociferously defending Lackey last week I'm back to hating him btw
  2. In a totally fun but apropos of nothing note: Ben Zobrist finally got his slugging above his on-base percentage, for a very respectable : .261-.377-.413 line and a 113 wRC+. He's also on pace for 120 RBI which is hilarious. Anthony Rizzo is on pace for 162 RBI lmao
  3. I am very in favor of Ben Revere being healthy and playing for the Nationals, heck, get that speed on over Bryce there, Dusty
  4. oh my god oh my sweet jesus that is the worst call i've ever seen in my life, watching that caused me physical pain
  5. Paradoxically, the complaints and neuroticism of Cubs fans actually fuels the strength and power of the team by baseball god magic I will, for example, never stop complaining about Tommy La Stella
  6. Russell is already one of the best defensive SS in the league and getting better with the bat, and Baez can play all over the diamond and be a super-sub so it makes sense to me.
  7. That's probably the best offensive lineup you can put together with the roster right now, so this'll be fun.
  8. He pitches just well enough to disappoint you when he goes wrong Cahill on the other hand....just sucks
  9. damn Travis, why you doing this to our run differential
  10. i'm excited for ben zobrist to finally get his slugging above his on base (part of that was him having such a prodigious on base)
  11. A few pages old, but not even close. He's been doing it almost all year The first home game he used Starlin's walk up music and I really hoped he'd just continue with it
  12. Federowicz is a guy who definitely doesn't get a 3-0 green light
  13. Today might be one of those rare nights where you ask the Bullpen to lock it down for 3 innings because so far we haven't really needed it
  14. On that note, Kris Bryant may have the least spectacular and attention grabbing .900 OPS in the league, aside from that Reds game
  15. Hendricks with 6 IP 2 H 2 BB and 4 K and brings his ERA down to 3.10, awww yeaaaahhh
  16. Jayson Werth was such a colossally dumb signing, like, it boggles my mind why any professional paid to run a baseball team would do that They've lucked out in hitting really hard on some draft picks and Daniel Murphy deciding he's gonna be magnificent at age 31 all of a sudden.
  17. Bummer, though I remain impressed with Addy's approach at the plate
