    What is your guys' opinion of the bullpen so far? It seems to me that on a given day everyone is doing well or everyone is not getting it done. Are there any transactions that might make the bullpen consistently better?

    5 innings, 1 ER. Bullpen blows his lead so he doesn't get his first W.

    Cubs tied it in the bottom of the 9th on a Floyd single (Marquis pinch run), Ward single, and Theriot single. Cubs had winning run on 3rd with 1 out in the 10th but couldn't score. Cubs win in the 11th on a Murton double, Blanco single, Ward single Floyd, Ward, Murton, and Blanco. Man was our bench clutch yesterday.

    What the hell? That doesn't make any sense. I kind of understand the idea of fitting Izturius to theoretically give Guzman some better defense to back him up, but DeRosa in RF instead of Murton or Jacque or Floyd deprives him of some decent offensive support. I hope this isn't actually the lineup. Is Murton in CF? If not I hope that Bruce or another beat writer will give us the real scoop on the situation. Is he hurt? Is he in Lou's doghouse? I highly doubt that Murton will ever start in CF. Floyd's back must still be bothering him if he's not in RF. As far as why no Jacque with Pie in center ... :?

    Could it also be that the Cubs are sayin that the future is now? They are making the moves that make this team better this season. It may not be true, but it is something else to think about.
