if the rumor is true, this is probably why the giants would do it. Take an expiring contract in ward and dump winn's contract isn't Ward like 3mil though...I really wouldnt mind Winn as a platoon in right/ fourth outfielder I'm talking about next year...ward will be a free agent.

Chris De Luca wrote in the sun times today that the Dodgers are the team we should be afraid of the most. This pretty much goes against what everyone here believes.

I say dodgers and cards because I'm scared of dbacks rotation and cards are worse than brewers. I wan phillies to win and go to nlcs only because then I could go to a game. :D

My guess is he'll be activated on September 1 and fight with Marquis for the 8th arm in the bullpen come playoff time. -
I'm gonna be there. It really sucks that the games I've went to this year have been started by Lilly, Marshall, and Marquis. I haven't seen any of the big three.

i'm legitimately pissed we dfa's eyre i'm not... he's been pretty lousy since the cubs signed him, so it's really not a loss. See his 2nd half stats last year, and tell me what is lousy about that. the 1.38 WHIP and 5.65 walks per 9 innings? How many runs did he give up? Come on. Wow I had no idea. I'm not that mad about it now...still wish it was howry tho
