  1. I have no problem with this. none at all.
  2. Shenanigans I submitted it to mlbtraderumors. :D
  3. Cubs trade Jason Marquis for Brian Fuentes.
  4. He reached his warmup pitch count already. Zero.
  5. If we're gonna go with a 5 man pen, why not get some more bench offensive players up here? Seriously, I'd think Marshall and Eyre were suspended.
  6. That worries me. He's gonna make it interesting. Why not use Eyre....I think he's gotten enuf rest lately.
  7. Superb defender, excellent game caller and a little bit of a bat. He's a fine backup. I knew the first two. His bat has been very good this year for a backup catcher.
  8. Except Howry will be used over everyone but marmol/wood. If everyone was used properly, then yes.
  9. Hank White has been a pleasant surprise.
  10. After yesterday I expected a sweep. Coming in I thought we'd lose, then I thought 50/50, then 2 wins. I am pleasantly surprised.
  11. He won't be here next year so that's not an issue. you're so sure that Hendry won't be duped into a 4 year deal based on this season? i'd rather make a run at one of the brewers' aces. We're talking Hendry here though, he likes to reward players when they don't deserve it (Neifi, Blanco), imagine what he'll offer to someone who is actually good Would something like a 3/30 with a 12M club option for the 4th year do? that would be a hometown discount I could see Demp being one of those guys who'd settle for a hometown discount. Could be wrong, but it seems like he's appreciative to Hendry for giving him the chance to revive his career here, and he's playing for a winning team that should be good for several more years. He would take a hometown discount if Hendry gives him something reasonable. I'd say 3/30 with club option should do it. The only question is, is it worth it?

  13. All that's missing is a W. =D> =D>

  16. It would be weird having the Marlins get a star player from the Red Sox. It would also be lovely to have Bay out of the division. I don't know if Hermida would kill the Cubs more or less than Bay. More if he plays like he did last series.
  17. Wait, whoa, what? Rotoworld: Quote: Will Carroll of Baseball Prospectus says the Red Sox, Pirates and Marlins have agreed to a three-team Manny Ramirez deal, pending Ramirez waiving his no-trade clause and league approval. Carroll, not normally one of our preferred sources, has the Red Sox getting Jason Bay and John Grabow; the Marlins acquiring Ramirez, cash and a prospect from the Red Sox and the Pirates picking up Jeremy Hermida, two prospects from the Marlins and one from Boston. But Gammons says, Quote: The Manny Ramirez trade conversations are expected to continue into Thursday, according to a source. Because it's a very complicated deal, involving a player who has the right to veto the trade and other parts, it is still unlikely to happen. But the negotiations will go on.
