  1. Surely this is a joke. I guess you haven't been on the board long enough. And yes, it is.
  2. No, but welcome to the board!
  3. Jones Eyre Izturis Hillenbrand Me
  4. 4-4 Houston in the 8th. The Phillies won.
  5. Color me surprised that we took Noah. (sarcasm)
  6. Can I have them for free? :P
  7. 1-1 Houston after 7. Reds-Phillies are in extra innings.
  8. You won. It's pretty much over.
  9. The useless Astros are losing 1-0 to the rockies in the 7th. If the rockies win, they are tied with us in the WC race.
  10. Also Florida is right in front of us in the WC They're behind us by 2 games now.
  11. We are planning on re-signing Nocioni, right?
  12. On a side note, we are planning on resigning Noce right?
  13. Not aware of a hair-length rule. Wallace's hair is pretty long. i think hair rules went out the window with Jerry "Cornrow" Krause S12: Are you thinking of the headband rule?
  14. I think he can score better than he did at UF. Maybe not initially, but he's a guy that can get 10ppg based on his offensive rebounding ability, his ability to finish, his ability to run the floor on the break better than most big man in the NBA (whereas in college he faced guys just as athletic and young), and simply by playing in a NBA style offense, where spacing tends to be better. I'm betting he can hit an elbow/baseline jumper as well as PJ Brown does now. Couple that with his motor, ability to rebound and run the floor, and pass, and his size, and I don't see how he can't help this team down low. So basically, it would be fine to take him, but we still need a big man down low to score?

  16. Pirates get 5 runs in the 7th. During the stretch, Florida leads 8-7.
  17. We would have to kick more garbage in PHL's direction (Eyre). Burrell is owed $14MM next season. I believe Jones gets $5MM next year. Besides, I'm not sure where you play Burrell since we already have a LF. Burrell could play RF, I'd bet. Everyone in Philly hates him. He probably hates playing in Philly. Too bad it would never happen, but if something like Jones/Eyre for Burrell were on the table I'd do it. Find me one person on this board who wouldn't.
  18. This may be true, but you don't need to give up so early. Oh, and you're welcome. 8-)
  19. Nobody has voted in a while.
  20. he's 13th in the NL in walks. Cause he's living off of his past accomplishments and teams are still pitching him cautiously. Even if pitchers are pitching cautiously, you still have to be patient to get the walks. Pitchers can throw every pitch outside of the strike zone to Jones, but he won't take a lot of walks unless Z/Lou shoots him with a tranquilizer when he's at the plate.
  21. Everywhere I look in mock drafts I see Noah coming to the Bulls. Can he score?
  22. Funny, that's what Marlins fans said about Jones.
  23. Correlation does not equal causation I know, but I like to think postively whenever I can.
  24. One article I remember reading back in march in CBS Sportsline talked about Noah's character in a postitive light. Sure, he's a crybaby, but the article talked about how open and friendly Noah was to his fans, something that the article said is rare for college players. It also talked about him being a good person. It was a long time ago, so I can't find a link, but I thought it was a good article and liked Noah because of it. Reminder: the article mentioned nothing about skills, solely his character.
