    I thought that about Sammy in his prime, though it's hard to think that way as much anymore. And beyond baseball, MJ was a freaking superhero more than Pedro for me.

    Either Comcast or WGN are fine with me. I'd imagine that WCIU would be ok with me too if I could get it. But I can't stand Fox or ESPN coverage. Fox is especially awful.

    I was paying homage to you and your quick witted tongue. His point is that you're using the wrong font color....consistently...and it hurts to read. Sarcastic Green is a very annoying fad...but if you feel like you must do it, at least use the dark green...not the seizure green.

    I have to admit, the previews make me chuckle. I bet it's better than people think, but understand the anti-Sandler sentiment. Wall-E will be excellent, as is everything that Pixar has ever done. But I voted Hulk because I'm a big geek. I'll probably only see Hulk and Wall-E in the theater.

    Really? I mean, the Brewers are in last, but they're only 4 games under .500. I think you could say it's a division with a lot of parity, but they are probably the best division in the NL. Every team in the Central has a winning record against the West. And Milwaukee has the worst record against the East with 4-7...Pitt and Cinci are one game under against the East, and the rest of the division is .500 or better against the East. You could probably argue who's better...the East or the Central, but the West is a bad division. The Central is at worst mediocre. (Only the AL East has a last place team with a winning percentage of .455 or better, like the Brewers.)

    agreed... I really took it badly when we started losing again. If we can build up a nice 15 over .500 cushion, I can calm down and not let day to day affairs affect me. It would be more fun if the Stros and Cards stopped playing out of their asses. Well the Cards have come back to earth some.

    tell fukudome sorry for breaking our promise and put him in centerfield. Or, Soriano could still cover enough ground in CF to not be a liability. He tweaked his leg hopping in LF. I don't need to see him diving for balls in CF.

    DL'd probably. They won't DFA him. The Cards are very loyal to their guys. Seriously though, if it weren't for Izzy, I think the Cards would still be in first.

    Izzy just gave up the lead. Started the 8th with a one run lead. Single, walk, error on Isringhausen. Tie game.

    In his small sample size, Edmonds is hitting .333/.333/.333/.667 . Not sure how that's necessarily proving anything about being better or worse than Reed Johnson or Felix Pie. lol...fair enough. That's those biases I was mentioning. I was making a few assumptions about future performance...:)

    When the opposing pitcher is right-handed, I question half of No. 1. I'll rephrase. Edmonds is not better than a Johnson/Pie platoon.

    Yeah I know, right. Reed Johnson would NEVER leave 4 men on base! How many times did Reed Johnson bat 6th? Because I'm sure Edmonds demanded that Lou bat him 6th. Seriously, it just sounds like everyone is taking their problems with Lou's stupidity out on Edmonds. And quite frankly, it's rather annoying. I love the new Cedeno. I won't deny there's biases...there absolutely are...but here's the problems: 1) Edmonds is not better than Reed Johnson or Felix Pie. 2) Hendry and Piniella are treating him like he is. 3) Admittedly extremely small sample size, but Edmonds is on his way to proving #1 is true. I think Hendry and Piniella get their share of the blame.
