  1. It's so fun to watch the highlights of those Forte runs. It's clear he still has the ability....I just don't think the run blocking is very good for the most part. His TD run especially is great...the move he puts on the defender is crazy.
  2. Jay Cutler, 3-1 Bad trade for the Bears.
  3. would he have really? Going to bid for Olympics aren't things Presidents are expected to do, even if they are from the city. It's a new trend...leaders from host countries making a personal case. Both Blair and Putin did it in addition to the leaders of each of the 4 countries this time.
  4. It's only LOL if you're an Obama sycophant that can't admit when mistakes are made. It's the US president doing something unprecedented and getting egg on his face. It doesn't reflect poorly on him as a person, but it's a miscalculation by the White House and a waste of political capital. That's true, though the magnitude can certainly be debated. I think this would quickly blow over for him, depending on how much the Rush/Oreilly/Beck/Hannity crowd tries to keep it alive articifically.
  5. Congrats. I still have yet to get to one. TB @ Indy back in the Marshall Faulk days is still the only NFL game I've ever been too.
  6. I don't think that's a fair assumption to make. I think head to head against any one of those cities, Chicago probably wins. I think when you split the vote amongst 4 cities was where the problem was. Maybe they should do voting like March Madness. Start with 64 teams and widdle down in head to head matchups...lol
  7. Peter King is a weird dude: Um...so when the QB is really good, the team wins? I'm gonna guess that goes for most QB's...and even if not, like I think we've all said before, using W-L record is a stupid evaluation tool...what a worthless stat.
  8. Such a good story...tell me a third time!
  9. Would you care to rephrase? ;)
  10. The World Cup is bigger than the Olympics? By what measure?
  11. I love how CNN was reporting it was sooooo close between Chicago and Rio.
  12. Wow. That's surprising. Not terribly disappointing though.
  13. Gotcha.
  14. i think it's at 11:30ct. I think they do the voting then, but I dunno...the whole process is ridiculous.
  15. Should be an announcement this afternoon right?
  16. If only one goes...I would prefer it to be this way.
  17. That was Peter King though, and he's consistently much higher on the Bears. Don Banks has been pretty consistently down on the Bears.
  18. Has Aromashadu seen the field in the regular season?
  19. Mangini won't make it through the season with that team.
  20. Yeah...that was just fantastic. I dropped him this email: I've gotten replies from both him and Haugh in the past. I'll post it if I get a reply.
  21. Apparently he's still wanting too much money. And besides that, I don't think you can really get on the receivers too much after the last couple of games.
  22. Crap! Deangelo Williams was my starter, and he's on bye this week, and Jones was my backup.....grrr.
  23. Miami has used a 2nd rounder on a QB in three consecutive drafts, and signed a veteran before last season, and they still need to go out and trade for a crappy veteran journeyman? That is Bear-like. Well consider there isn't a Jay Cutler esque QB available, what else you want the Dolphins to do? I hear Dan Marino wants to give it a go one more time. Jeff Garcia was just let go by the Eagles.
  24. I'm not necessariliy criticizing the move, more the fact that they put themselves in this position. Chad was never going to be the longterm solution. He's a brittle guy with a weak arm and he's missed big chunks of time in most of his seasons. That's 3 straight 2nd round picks on a QB and now some sort of draft pick for another, and they still don't have a clear QB of the future. Man, that does sound like a bears conversation doesn't it?
