  1. What's sexual about mocking how someone dresses?
  2. There was some article a while back where she said she picks out her clothes... can't remember where it was. Someone had interviewed her about her style. Still, at any other employer, that's sexual harassment -- whether his comments were accurate (I think they were, despite Storm being a fox) or otherwise. Except he has a history of criticizing everyone...male or female...for any number of things, including attire. I think sexual harrassment would be a tough thing to prove.
  3. Huh...so your argument is "there's worse". Interesting choice of strategy.
  4. Would LT want to play for the Bears though? He says he's looking for a championship...and I don't think the Bears are going to be the first thought there.
  5. Somehow, I managed to not get my wife's opinion on Tiger until last night. She was pretty non-chalant about it. She thinks he's a jerk for what he did, but I think she's pretty numb to sports figures doing stupid crap. She didn't think it would affect her enjoying watching him play. Frankly, she wasn't all that interested in the story.
  6. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/02/21/AR2010022103271.html Good luck to Riggs in Washington. I always really liked that guy.
  7. Well he's used to talking to the media off the cuff...not reading a prepared statement like this. I think it'd be tough to "sound sincere" reading something like that unless you were a skilled public speaker. Like I said, it sounded as if he had never seen the statement before he went out there and they gave it to him five minutes before. He talks to the media all the time and should be able to read a prepared statement normally not as if he's reading one word at a time. I didn't really expect much out of this and I guess I got what I was expecting: an insincere apology from a guy who is sorry he got caught and not for what he actually did. Responding off the cuff to media questions about golf is not the same as reading a prepared statement apolgizing to affairs with 30+ women. It's just not. You can believe what you want about his motivations...personally I could care less. But I don't think that the "way he read" the statement says anything.
  8. I think a buddy and I are gonna go to a curling "open house" next weekend. That should be high comedy.

  10. Doesn't know when he'll return. That might be the only thing people were wanting to hear out of this thing.
  11. Tiger's statement supposedly has somehow leaked: I'm not sure I'm buying that though...cuz why would you sign a read statement? And why would he not deserve to play at the Masters?
  12. What are they going to do? People are gonna heckle him. Yeah, they'll get ejected, but heckling is gonna happen.
  13. The difference is that there is much more detail about Tiger's "daliances" is out than there was with Kobe though. The number of women, the possible porn star pregnancies, and other lurid details that have come out are going to have an affect. It's not that it's worse...it's just that there more stuff out there...it just doesn't seem to end. Wait till people start yelling stuff at him on the course. Tiger's gonna lose his cool for sure.
  14. Tiger to make a public apology at a press conference on Friday. No questions, just a statement/apology.
  15. I think we could make a great drinking game out of it too. Now we're getting somewhere. drunk people on ice with brooms has lots of potential. Probably have to wear a helmet for safety reasons though. I told a buddy earlier they need to have curling in bars. I'm sticking to that.
  16. Curling needs to be in prime time. Also, I need to understand it better.
  17. And that's all well and good...just seems like he drug his feet on making those changes.
  18. The move doesn't bother me. It's just weird timing. Why not do this back when you were firing other people instead of 2 weeks before free agency?
  19. Yeah, they must've changed the link pretty quickly. Who knows now.
  20. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/02/former-south-holland-star-mark-mulder-to-retire.html Too bad for him, but I'm glad the Cubs aren't going to be tempted there.
  21. Seems like putting up some kind of plexiglass wall along that side would be enough. Something similar to what they do with hockey rinks. The problem was more about staying in the luge "track" than anything else in my mind.
  22. Especially on the fastest track in the world. They say some ppl have topped 90mph in training.
  23. Not a good start....
  24. As soon as I saw the blurb about this, I came here to re-read this thread. EDIT: the good stuff starts on page 10 for those interested. Before that it's just "CubbieBum loves Purdue". You know, in some ways we're very different people. The Bum's deulsional Purdue and Title IX ravings are the best source of comedy since rchap started a fantasy thread. Haha. Yeah I shouldn't have referred to page 10 as the start of the "good stuff"...just the stuff relevant to the Texas predictions.
